Josh, thank you so much for your very informative tutorials. When you deal with the certain piece I can hear its wonderful harmony ! I would also like to see your tutorial on Chopin's Nocturne Cis-moll No. 13
Thank you so much Josh for this incredible tutorial! I can’t wait to apply these techniques and tips in my practice. Looking forward to more tutorials on other Chopin Nocturne pieces! Thank you 👏🏻😍
You should do a video on the first etude in the 2 concert etude set, by liszt.(waldesruaschen). that Would be amazing! Really enjoyed the video too. Love the way you explain it, it really helped.
Side-comment regarding John Field's nocturnes: I completely agree that Chopin's nocturnes are far richer and more engaging, but with the exception of Field's nocturne no 2 which is truly lovely (he also used a variant of it as the slow movement of one of his piano concertos). I could even imagine that it was that particular Field nocturne that inspired Chopin to write nocturnes.
I’m just a few minutes into it and I really love the idea of you talking about the structure of all the pieces if you can, because I certainly have no knowledge of structure. Can you recommend any books on piano music structure? Also,I really find it helpful when you use adjectives like “innocence” You really have a great skill with that and I’d like to learn to describe what I’m listening to. Is that something you’ve always been able to do or did someone help you with that? thank you, wonderful as always.
I’m barely intermediate and you make this look so easy. I’m only really getting into piano in my 70s. You play beautifully
Been playing this piece for years. Dmitri Shishkin's performance on youtube is sublime. Always appreciate tips from pros.
I love your sensitive interpretation of this piece. THANK YOU
Thank you for this Josh, my all time favorite piece! ❤️ I’m learning everyday from your lessons. God bless you. 🤗
Thanks for making this tutorial! I've been subscribed to ProPractice for a few months now and am absolutely loving it!
Great point on the back strokes.
Considering the popularity of the piece, this is looooooooooong overdue hahaha
No complaints though, any video of yours is worth
This is very enjoyable I had a hard time during the covid lockdown now I finally gained a bit strength to go back to the piano.

Not helpful for deaf people. I think that’s what they’re getting at anyway.
Josh, check out Jordan Rudess. Keyboard and piano god. His technique is odd, but he can play damn near anything.
