WOW... I'm impressed at how you perfected the Chopin on a harp. I looked at other instrument covers on this piece and I have found nothing as excellent as this cover. Just incredible how you executed this beautiful music piece.
A1 A1 Thank you so much! I listened a variety of piano records to capture what I thought is the spirit of the piece. Several passages (the virtuoso ones) were crucial to translate accurately or it would have ceased to be Chopin. I am glad it makes you happy!
You are an exceptional & classy young woman despite being a member of the younger generation. I tip my hat to you, applaud your refined taste and admire your hard work you've devoted to the harp
I just learned this on the piano this year. I had tried many years before and failed (never had lessons - self-taught), but I finally memorized it all. Now I hear you play it on the harp and I am utterly impressed. Great job! God bless you!
Martin Mango Thank you! I would say that the harp is equally difficult to the piano, violin, cello and every other instrument. Each has its own perks and limitations. But I think it is safe to say that, in order to write effectively for the harp, you would have to know the instrument in and out. Composers often team up with harpists, and will receive many many remarks and adjustments back, because it has many peculiarities. They often hear: “No, that is not going to work. But if you look for this effect I can play it such and such.” In that sense I do think the harp is a difficult instrument...
I refer to the delicacy that you must have when tweaking each of the strings to get the sound you want and how smart you have to be to memorize them all and be able to play several at once with both hands, as on the piano but with strings and not keys, which makes it, I think, harder than the piano. And not to mention that besides that also has pedals ... In instruments such as the violin or cello you can make a maximum of two sounds at a time and this depends on how many fingers you have hahaha. Your work is admirable. I play the cello and a little piano, whenever you want, we play something. I'm from Argentina jajaja (no se si me expresé bien, mi inglés no es muy bueno...)
Good point! Each string is a little bit different than the other. And with the feet, it requires constant coordination! I have this little theory that harpists might be more aware of their feet than others, haha. Maybe it is a bit difficult but then I would say that the violin-family is high on the list of challenging instruments as well. I have tried the violin once or twice, I have an absolute lack of talent in that arena! I was awful. How do you remember all those subtle different positions on one string without anything to guide you? ;-)
The Harp Explorer I completely agree, I play piano and I transitioned into the harp. I had not really a problem, it’s a bit more difficult than the piano but all I had to learn was some different technique and hand positions on the harp.
I just wanted to come back after years of loving this and say this is my favorite classical piece of all time and this harp cover is astounding, I always think of it when I want to hear harp music. Thank you for taking the time to transcribe this! it's incredible.
I know nothing about harp, aside that it's soo difficult to play and sounds very beautiful, so maybe my opinion doesn't count, but still. This is sooo stunning! I love this more than when this piece is played on piano! So beautiful ❤️❤️
Omgg i love this 😭 I’ve been wanting to learn to play a harp, or at least a 16 strings mini harp. This would be the first piece I would practice once I got the instrument. 🥺💕
This is amazing! As others have said, this was probably never meant for harp. You played the chords perfectly, just like Chopin said they are supposed to be a chorus of guitars. Per @gregniemchuk
I hear you. That would be seriously challenging indeed. I’m not going to say impossible, but at least it would become a less accurate translation than on pedal harp. It just might be possible to preserve the character of the piece, but I only know if I try it out on the lever harp...

The pedal use at 2:15 is technically astounding! That section was never meant for harp!
Amazing!!,omg
your tempo is so spot on.. i have to re approach how i play this one, really great feel on this

I could play this on the piano in my teens. (Much of Chopin was beyond me) Really well done on the harp which I imagine is much harder.

How a person can dislike this video ?
Beautiful! It’s probably impossible on the lever harp though ):
Oh man how I wish I could play this on my lever harp

wanna try Flight of the Bumblebee for next???
I love you ❤
Sientes ese cosquilleo como de llorar? No sé por qué si no estoy triste
I want to compose for harp. What are the limitations for chromatics? Is it even possible to do a fast chromatic run with a pedal harp?
Lord, i saw her wings at her back.. is she the fallen angel...?
