    I relax the muscles that connect the wrist and forearm together.

    Hi Robert whats in the side of your sight? Will that make your eyes both open? Is it ok when i close my left eye? Or its a dis advantage? Ty😊

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a vision blocker I made for my scope. It lets me keep both eyes open for a natural feel, to bring in more light, and help with equilibrium while not allowing my left eye to see the target so that my right eye focuses much better through the scope with a lens.

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's okay to close your left eye but I do feel letting in more light helps you see your target better and your equilibrium/balance will be greater with both eyes open as well.

    On a 3 spot vegas face would you slightly adjust stance for the lower left/right spot?

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't. I align my feet for the center target and leave them in place during the end.

    Hey Robert. I was sure looking forward to meeting you at the TFAA State indoor comp last month. It looked like you couldn't make the second day shoot as we were to be shooting a couple bales away from each other. I shot in the same division as you and was hoping to not only shoot with you but to meet you as well. I really appreciate all the information you put out there. Heck even my 9 yr old daughter and 16 yr old son watch your videos for helpful tips on shooting. Hope to meet up with you one of these days and fling some arrows together. Do you shoot any outdoor field and if so, do you plan on shooting any TFAA shoots or the TSAA state shoot at Archers Haven in April?

      I'm really sorry we didn't get to meet in person over the weekend! I skipped out on day two because our son was in his first tournament with his new baseball team and I wanted to see their bracket games. They had seeded first on Saturday so going into Sunday they had a good chance of coming out with the win. It was all worth it thankfully because I got to watch them win their game and the championship with my son coming in as the pitcher to close out the championship game and get the win!
      I appreciate y'all watching my videos and I'm glad they've been able to help out along the way! I don't know that I'll shoot any of the field events this year. I'll be shooting a few of the Texas ASA rounds though. Then back in again for the SYWAT series next year. I hope to get to more events next year though.

      Hey man, watching our kids compete is way more important than anything in the world, so I completely understand. Hope to see you down the road at some archery shoots. I just started a youtube channel...it pretty basic right now but I hope to put up some cool shooting vids as well as some archery hunting videos. If you have any suggestions on how I can make my channel as awesome as your's, please message me....I'm kinda new to this so I'm not sure how to communicate to youtube creators other than comments on their videos. Good luck at ASA shoots man! Practice practice baby!!! @@rcrchery

    Robert, what draw weight are you using for indoor?

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 56-58 pounds peak weight in all forms of archery depending on where the tune and bow fitment ends up being its best. This gives me consistent holding weight and feel overall.

      Scott, are you a member of Archery Abroad by any chance? If not, you should come in and shoot with us this month before the sign up closes down: facebook.com/groups/972331659464522/
      It's a lot of fun and you get to shoot against some guys that are in the top ranks of their state and even nationally! I'll be shooting in the Elite/Pro division.
      I'm basically a nobody, but I've put in the time to learn this sport over the years to be able to share the information I have with others to grow our sport and help other archers have fun by growing their success! That's my goal. Whether it's information from another archer, pro, or what I've learned myself I use this and my instagram channel, @rcrchery, to give back to the sport I love.
      I finished 5th out of 141 archers in my division, AMFS, this year for our indoor series in Texas. I placed in three of the four events I went to and won one of them. I qualified 3rd in our state championship shoot last weekend and most likely would have finished second or third depending on day two if I hadn't stayed at our son's baseball tournament with his new team to watch them win the championship.
      Again, I'm just a nobody and if my information doesn't apply to you or help you then please don't use it. If it does, then I've done my job to help our sport. Come out and shoot with us at Archery Abroad, it's great fun!

    I appreciate you going through all of this. I am Kind of questioning where you got your credentials. I guess explain to me why I would pay for a patreon subsciption! I am not trying to be a dick. I am simply just trying to pay for the best advice possible.

    • @rcrchery

      The best way I can answer your question is by saying to watch the videos here on my TH-cam channel and you can also look through my posts on Instagram, @rcrchery, if you'd like as well. This is the best way for you to get an understanding of whether what I teach and talk about is a good fit for your style of archery. This would be my recommendation for anyone looking into any information, archery or otherwise, as well because there's so many ways to do certain things and each person is going to respond differently. I've picked up good and bad tips for me through many archers. Dudley, GRIV, ect. I've studied this sport for the better part of a decade now and also through many trial and error attempts have come to the standpoints I have now and what I teach. I've spoken with many USA Archery coaches and seen how they are taught to teach our sport and I've spoken with many top level or professional archers as well to understand their thoughts on aspects of our sport too. You can watch me compete on Archery Abroad's online tournaments. I've won a couple and placed in several. I've also shot in the Shoot Your Way Across Texas events this indoor season if you'd like to see scores and me shooting under pressure on video too. There's a round here on my TH-cam channel that I won through Archery Abroad that you can view me shooting in as well. If you find enough value in what I talk about and show then it would be worth it to spend the money on the Patreon Subscription because what I put on there is the information I don't give out for free here on TH-cam. If you do not find enough value in what you find here then I would absolutely not pay for the Patreon subscription because the last thing I want anyone to do is not continually progress in our sport.

    Only way I can be steady is by having all my weight in back bar none up front and I still hold lowwww but it’s steady

    • @geebee3d
      @geebee3d 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jason Nester ....how long is your back bar? If it’s too short, it won’t have enough leverage to counter the weight on the end of the front bar, unless you really load it up with weights. 30” front bar and 12” back bar is common. I personally like to shoot a longer back bar, like 15”. I don’t have to use as much weight on back to balance the bow, and can still run an effective amount of weight on the end of the font rod.
