See that's why I watch you. You call out woke shit but you're still an individual. You're not quick to get on any groups band wagon with a gross overreaction.
I’m all about authenticity. If I like something I like it and if I dislike something I say so. You’d never have to worry about me lying for engagement or some bs
That's what I like about him too it's sad that you gotta jump on everything just to break through the mold when you find the truly authentic people on this side who call out the b.s but is still able to not jump the gun they tend to have little to no exposure. This man should have at least 50k subs
To be fair, Ciri is a special case female since she has the "Elder Blood" as they explained in Witcher 3, which is why she was able to survive the Trial of the Grasses.
I was definitely worried when I heard all that stuff after the trailer came out. All I was hearing was "THEY RUINED CIRI! THEY MADE HER BUTCH THEY MADE HER MANLY" until I saw the trailer for myself and I didn't think she looked ugly at all. And like you said in the video, honestly I'm still down bad for Ciri.
Tbf, she does look manly or should i say, masculine, when her previous looks is pretty and cute but deadly. Not to mention her voice also lower, it kinda reminds me of a woman taking steroids or HRT transitioning to a man.
You not coping she is just older, but there are people there that that if the is even a hair out of place, they lose their friggin minds. As for Ciri being witching. Even your quote wasn't enough to shut it down lore wise. I'm like many attributing it to her elder blood, because Ciri is not a peasant. She is a child of the Elder Blood that makes her a super human compared to that of the peasants. So i'm guessing that that bloodline power make her strong enough to survive the Trial of the grasses. As to Why Ciri is a witcher? Ever since she started training to be one, she's wanted to be one. Only problem is her bloodline has kept her on the run for most of her life to stay away from the Wild Hunt, and all the orgs around the world that would love to get their hands on her. The way I see the "Her swn codex" line is. The choices we make as the player in Ciri's shoes will determine how she reacts tot he world. Through out the books and the games. Geralt tries to remain nuetral, that is part of his code. Ciri is passionate, and doesn't necessary follow Geralt's advice verbatim. I think what they meant is she's going to find her way of taking the knowledge she got from Geralt, Vesimir, and so on, and then find her way of hunting. I think unlike Geralt that always tried to say neutral, she might find something to be passion about, or not. The choice will be ours.
To be fair, Ciri is a special case female since she has the "Elder Blood" as they explained in Witcher 3, which is why she was able to survive the Trial of the Grasses.
The only criticism I have for you Kaida ... is that you should have put this video out immediately! Don't wait to gauge the sentiment my friend, to see if it's a safe take. You are exactly spot-on, and all these grifters that exposed themselves by saying either: 1) she looks bad or woke, or 2) that she shouldn't be the protagonist. They should be ignored, because they clearly don't know the Witcher games and are only trying to create outrage bait to pay their bills. As for the series, yes, Witcher 1-3 is about Geralt, but in the end of 3 and especially with the DLC, he handed it off to Ciri, especially when he gifted her the Silver Sword. Now CDPR said that Ciri will have her own trilogy (4-7). Another great point you made is that the CGI trailers look nothing like the real game, so her look can also change. I also expect the real game to show the Witcher process, so too many people getting their undies in a bunch over a trailer. CDPR is nothing like Neil Druckman and Naughty Dog, so I have no worries about agendas here; they are focused on telling a story only; so this comparison doesn't fly for me.
I agree with u man, I don't like thy change the lore. Voice I don't like either. But yeh I wished she was just a swordsmen with a bit of magic, magic she learned from Yenniffer, but yeh I think it should've been more being more vulnerable by making her not a witcher.
Female Witchers do not exist. The book states that women can't become Witchers with the mutation favoring men and that when they did trials for women, they've only ended up with dead bodies. Looking into it people wanna say that "there's a breakthrough" that allowed Ciri to become one, or the ideology that she has Elder Blood, making her a literal goddess meaning she isn't the same as a normal woman. The thing is however, changing lore to fit a narrative is a common woke ideology. People want to say the game isn't cannon to the book, however the book should be cannon to the game. The Witcher should be loyal to the aspects of the book it takes from. My thing with Witcher 4 is more the ideology of what could come out with the game, not with Ciri being a protagonist, since she was always meant to carry the mantle for the next game. What disappointed me the most with the trailer was that Ciri wasn't using any Elder Blood magic, there were no portals no teleporting, so what it seems to me is that she's replacing Geralt text by text. I don't know why anyone would want to replace a beloved character with another character stripped of their individuality, however it seems like I could just be quick to judge the next game based on a trailer alone.
A couple of things. As someone who dated and older woman before, the design doesn't bother me. Also, I haven't played any of the Witcher games. I will be waiting for reviews of this. I know I definitely want to play 1-3. And if this is good, I will be able to add this.
Lol i didnt even hear about them saying that shit about ciri, but wow. Thats exactly why people need to be careful not to lose the plot, when it comed to this stuff. Im just not intrested in it,because I dont really want to be locked into playing a ciri. I could be wrong, and its a fun game or cd projekt might use her as a excuse to go overbaord. We'll have to wait and see,but if i was them id stop playing around lol. Because all the cyberpunk controversy, didnt help their image.
I think knowing the fact that CDPR is infested with DEI hires make some people overthink and nitpick over things that may reflect the DEI effect on the game. The only thing this discourse does is detract the push against the woke ideology. I've seen enough people believing this game will flop but I don't think it will.
Congratulations to the drones crying about older Ciri. You've become the sensitive ones. Edit: book canon is separate from game canon. People crying about lore changes when the game series existing post books is lore breaking
They don't realize that W3 story is self-contained, it's not part of the books, but inspired by it. The same way Cyberpunk 2077 is a continuation of the original boardgame and lore but not 1:1 adaptation.
@Solus147 exactly. There's the whole pitchfork incident followed by the amnesia and then you have Regis being brought back to life from a wet smear. And as far as the Trials go(I'm gonna have to re-read the books to be sure), I don't remember it being quite as definitive as something like the creation of a space marine.
I wish i can like this vid twice. I want to say the witcher 4 will highly likely be woke because Ciri has become a witcher, that is breaking "tradition". As stated in the trailer, when the village elder that she's messing with tradition. CDPR is clearly infested with woke ideology, it's been planned from a long time since the end of witcher 3 when Geralt retiring in his orchard in the DLC, he gets his "happy ending". As little as he can, after he fight the big bad dimensional elf and Ciri becomes adult. It's concluded that his journey probably ends. I get people are not happy that Geralt's story is ending, because he's been the MC for all the series. But the story is always about Ciri, she's the child of destiny since her conception. It's her story, seen from Geralt's perspective. Now Ciri becoming witcher is breaking tradition, no female witcher because it's "proven" can't be done. And it also make her infertile, which mean there's no continuation of Cintra lineage. Which mean she's broken of her destiny. And this is will be the end of Witcher as a series.
Ciri went from being her own person to being a Geralt knockoff.

@kristophirlewis2076 FritangaPlays is good too.
I'm not a Witcher fan, but she looks amazing
I agree with you. Everybody ages and getting a lil chub in the face is pretty normal

I recommend watching the Witcher Joker's video on the subject of girls and the Trials of the Grasses.
That's all cool, but she can't be a Witcher, women cannot be Witchers.

Thanks. I would’ve made it the other day but I’ve been playing marvel rivals 😭
I agree with you 100%. And it really is the lore-breaking we should be worried about here, or Ciri potentially being turned into a girlboss...

@Solus147 Witcher Joker has a video I just watched that went through the bits of Blood of Elves that discussed the trials. Good video.
