Myself I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2014 for 2 years now I have been an avid cyclist I’m ridding 12 to 14 miles a day 5 days a week my speed is up to 14 mph I guess that’s ok for me it’s the best I can do so far I eat meat and vegetables fruits protein bars stay hydrated as much as possible I have 2 road bikes pretty light weight but today I went 14 miles and on my last mile back I had a drop in my sugar pretty low so I think 🤔 I just need to get a better idea of what I should eat before a ride during if needed and after I do have an A1C of 6.4 now just got my blood checked last week I can say to all of you that if I don’t ride I go for at least a 4 mile walk or sometimes 5 miles I do this to stay healthy I do love cycling and I believe it has helped me loose weight and keep my type 2 in check trust me I have good days and bad days but anyone reading this if you have been thinking about cycling go for it it does become a habit I myself am competitive with myself always have been and I’m now 55 years old thanks for the video was very entertaining 🇺🇸 never think you can’t ride or walk or even go hiking it was all a mind game when I started there will be times you will think oh I don’t wanna go today but do it because it’s your health and make time for yourself I ride alone every day anyway I hope I’ve helped motivate even one person with my words today get out there and do it take your life back 👍🇺🇸

Thank you! I was diagnosed Type 1 just 1 1/2 yrs ago so I'm still figuring out intensive exercise + nutrition during and after. Definitely informative so I'm looking forward to your future posts!

I'm a Type 1 diabetic and a very active cyclist. I find that if I take insulin before a 40 mile ride, I go too low, and it's hard to bring my glucose level back up. I use carb blocks and gels. Usually, I eat plain yogurt and fruit for breakfast and let my sugar rise to 250 and then it goes down slowly as I ride. This doesn't help my A1c however. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This video should make clear it is Type I diabetes, not a Type II. Totally wrong for the later.

They seem like they are Type 1 or a special Type 2.
