Has midi but cannot handle program changes! Ridiculous! So if you want to use it on stage you must remember the slot , bend down to the floor and select it manually! 😅😅😅😅 What a toy
Looks like we need to see what is in the full manual available online. Under MIDI Control we see that to go up a track is cc number 40, with a value of 01. To go down a track is cc number 41, with value 01. To Play/Stop a track is cc number 42, value 00. Hope this helps.
I have reached out to NUX about their very concise chart. It appears one should be able to replace the value on CC 40 with the phrase location (20) and have it go to that spot. Since I have no use to automate a looper in this way I have not given the ability much thought. I know the BOSS RC-5 does, but that pedal is also about twice the price. Still if it's a feature you need then the price would be worth it. We will have to see if NUX has any firmware updates or new Loop Core models at Winter NAMM in Anaheim, CA this coming January.
I didn't get the part with replace the CC 40 value - phrase location (20) you mentioned but I assume it's not able to jump to a certain location from anywhere. I didn't expect that ,so was disappointed when I realized this. Always had pc in former units. I didn't know that this implementation would be such a huge cost factor. Isn't it just a simple code that every midi unit has? Background: One man band - My tablet shows lyrics and plays mp3 and sends midi program changes to my Guitar pre amp for every song, which is cool. Want the looper for looping some simple songs and also kicking off some playbacks. Yes, the boss units do all that. I bought a rc 500 in Germany but can't get it to Brazil where I live... it costs 5 times as much here and so will be the taxes when sent to me .
@@tobiaslieblein2686 That is terrible (about the BOSS unit). Back to MIDI. The most I ever used it was in the early-mid 90s when a guitar player was required to have a "refrigerator" rack of doom. I knew just enough to make my ART X-15 do all the program and preamp switching I needed for live performance but never dug much deeper. In the mid 00s I had a Line 6 Vetta which kind of used a proprietary preset MIDI with the floor controller. Jump to present day; I have not idea what kind of processing or memory is required to make all MIDI work the way you want. Maybe NUX felt this was beyond the scope of their target buyer? Either way, Happy Holidays, and may you find something that fits your need without costing you a small fortune.
Got one. Sold my Boss RC10!😊
How is it ? Is the sound any good? I'm considering moving from the boss too.
@stratocumulusnimbostratus328
how goes it?
