I am a big fan of Red Guava and during the recent Burevi Cyclone bought 2 plants, one a Japan Red and another a Thai Pink. The plants were very small costing 200 and 250 rupees. The Thai pink had 4 flowers on it. After some days, 2 flowers fell off. The remaining 2 turned into fruits. Again within days, one guava fell down... the last one survived to grow a little more bigger which made me very happy. But to my utter disappointment, it vanished. I. suspect some creature stole it or eaten it. Both the guavas were not seen on the ground. Now Japan Red has no leaves and Thai Pink is showing yellow leaves. I have to salvage them somehow. Some of the Nurseries sell sub standard plants and cheat customers. I do not know if that is the case here. People wait for years to see their plants bear fruits. Ofcourse it takes a couple of years but how about waiting for 5 years... 10 years and so. I have some like that. I still carry on the hope..

ആ കണ്ട രണ്ട്‌ പേരയും പോയി. ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ വീടിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ 2 പേര വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിലും പൂവ് ഉണ്ടായി കൊഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നു. ചെടികൾ വളരുന്നുണ്ട്.

ജാപ്പനീസ് റെഡ് ഡൈമണ്ട് പേരയ്ക്കയെ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ റെഡ് ജാർവി പേര എന്നാണ് വിളിക്കുന്നത്.
