- Someone left a comment about having difficulties with the 5 of Swords, so here is a kind of demonstration of how to go about developing understanding, and ideally coming up with something new.

I tried examining the "5 swords" and the following came to me... a person holding two swords in left hands (more logical) thinker, than the right brain (creative) right brain. Two men walking away from their swords (their thoughts & talents,) leaving them for this person to pick up and experience and learn from. Hence, a person who is observant & open to what is around him/her, etc. one can expand on that premise. Thanks for another great video!
Wow! This morning I have been going deeper into this card. Seeing more things with numbers like you said, and love, a group cause having challenges, giving up, fear etc... but the one holding the 3 swords (manifestation) still has hope & looks on like he/she understands & is almost amused that now his/her challenge is to rally and encourage the others back, to manifest and see this cause through. I don't ever believe I looked at this card this long before.
I love that interpretation!
And there is yet more I am seeing in a COMPLETE DIFFERENT SCENARIO in regards to the story of SURRENDER! Holy cow! We can be here for forever & based on what other cards are drawn, we can really dig deep in any direction!

Then... why the defeat? There was only 3 people in the card but five swords. Were there two others in this group that something happened to? You can really go into this story. Even though there was still 3 of them left, perhaps the other two (duality) were perceived to be the best fighters? Or maybe they were perceived to play a significant role in moving forward w/ their cause and now without them, the other two can't see a win or their cause manifested? Maybe the one in the distance that is overcome w/ grief, had a deep bond & love w/ one or both who were defeated, captured, killed or something perceived as a great loss. Maybe a close relative? All this and a storm looks to be rolling in. Yet there is hope in the one who is plotting to rally them for the cause.
Maybe the 3 swords (lord of sorrow) in the 3 of swords is disrupting the 2 swords (Lord of peace restored) in the two of swords and the person feels a sense of defeat. The five of swords is ruled by Venus, planet of love in Aquarius, where Aquarius is more about the collective, or fighting for a particular cause. With Mars ruling Geburah, the fifth sphere on the tree of life, could also indicate aggression in the suite of the mind (swords), or negative self talk to the point of feeling defeated by self slander..
