I can't believe this band ever got past me in the 90's. This music is so perfect. Serene and entrancing.
Yeah me, too. 90's aye? This is how real independent/music/artists evolve in the "absence" of corporate music marketing and distribution machine. Too bad I wasn't "cool enough" to be privy to music like this back then when it was evolving. I probably wouldn't have notice if I did. I would be too "blinded" by the machine. I'm aware of it now. Keep on.
2009, Lisbon, crossing the Tago River, on the red 25-do-Abril bridge on my way back from the beach to Lisbon city. Sun is setting down. Loud noise coming from the tires rolling over the metal pavement of the bridge and the surrounding traffic but the speaker manage to pump loud music, nevertheless. Sun is setting down and sky is flaming up. I am tired and hungry but relieved from yet another epic day at the beach, swimming in the cold, powerful Portuguese ocean. I see the city getting closer. Friends on the backseats sleeping. This was the soundtrack of one of the best moments of life. Music, this kind of music, is indeed such a powerful memory fuel. Lisboa, I love you.

Just saw them in Ybor City, FL. The crowd went nuts after the first few notes from the sitar. Their music brings together such a rich and diverse blend of people from all ages and backgrounds. Just an amazing evening. :)

I was lucky enough to know most of these bands before Garden State but this soundtrack got me SO laid in college.
I still will never forget this band’s set at All Good 2015. Pure chills thinking about it. Didn’t even know who the hell they were before then! Still a fan today!

Classic and timeless =] I love that they use real instruments mixed with digital tools. Most people know this catchy tune from the movie "Garden State", but it is so uplighting that it puts you in a great mental state- great example of "acoustic alchemy". In our "Home Economics" course at Alexander Graham Middle School our professor would start each day with a classic and timeless album. I think it's a great daily ritual.
Thievery Corp are the SUPER BEST FIRST CLASS! I LOVE THEM SINCE ALMOST 20 YEARS AND I HAVE ALL THEIR ALBUMS! I hope to see them live one day!

I didn't know. Just looked it up on Wiki. Been a long-time fan of TC but was not aware of Ms. Bricker's wonderful input, her voice. But she committed suicide; I'm so sad. Only 50 yrs. old. Damn that just bums me out big time.
