That's the coolest looking Santa Cruz I've seen. The color combo reminded me of the Tacoma Trail Edition. Hope it serves the BruteSquad well during the rally.
Really nice options. Good to see how these things would look on mine. The undercarage seems to be one of the sore spots I am hearing from santa cruz owners. Plastic ... foamy type under carage that don't give off roaders confidence in protection of their under carage. Good job with that. I have the availability to put racks on top of mine but have not put bars on as of yet. I did get a net for the back but.... not the fancy set up your showing in this. Do like the utility rack set up you had put in... if I ever graduate to canoe or kayak that is more heavy for me. I am a disabled adult so I have to watch out for things that are two heavy for me to handle. Those really nice canoes and kaykas are to heavy for me. Still struggling with the side runner steps in black. That are on mine. Because I have challenges with my feet and legs. I am however re-adjusting how I get in and out of the truck based on those steps. Still going to take me a while to learn how. As is sometimes the steps scrape up the back of my calves. I know some of you with perfect control of your legs and feet wouldn't understand here. Let me just say its a new learning curve for me. Peace out. P.S. You and your sound crew were such good sports about getting drowned out by the copter. This is good stuff. Laugh about it because you did great
My Santa Cruz is completely stock and it’s pretty good in muddy, snowy parking lots. I saw a Subaru get stuck at Sugarbush parking lot in Vermont and my Santa Cruz had NO problem handling the parking lot at all.
I actually like the idea of having led lights on the roof rack. As for tow hooks, I would love to see something like that for the market. I find it really concerning that the SC has no front exposed tow hooks. Now I don’t plan of off-roading my SC that often, but it’s a must in emergency situations ( bought Curt tow hitch to have at least a rear tow hook).
So the bed crossbars are custom made/not for general sale. But I'm having a hell of a time finding that a-frame tire mount. Thing looks sick by the way
I have a Santa Cruz and it already pulls 5 k and out performs the the Shoe Box already! Plus a 100 k warranty and free Synthetic Oil changes. That's the Price Difference!
Great looking build Jill! Love that it really transforms what I feel is a vehicle that is pretty urban oriented in stock form. You guys practice taking that spare off? Seems pretty high up, hope it’s not too difficult to replace in the event of a puncture.
I love getting into the dirt with my Santa Cruz. I know I'm not supposed to do some of the things I do with a brand new car, but who cares what other people say. I bought it so I could drive it ... not look at it in the driveway. I'm not doing any difficult trails, but I'm definitely getting places and having fun. Seeing mods like this are definitely exciting. I found the lift kit on Truxxx, but I'm not seeing anything for the SC through this Rally Innovations they keep mentioning. Is any of this actually going to be available or is it all just for this Rebelle Rally build?
Yeah, sorry, technical issues, we had to filter the crap out of it to save the content, but we thought it was still worth sharing. Thanks for watching.
@@1976axerhand recall covers 53k vehicles total … including Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Kona N, Elantra N, Veloster N. Not sure how many of those are specific to Santa Cruz.
@@1976axerhandso night edition doesn’t have problem with double clutch? I’m in Canada and we don’t have non turbocharged SC in offer. I don’t know what to think about 280 HP version.
@@makan1568 yes they do. on the facebook forums they have been at least 8 other owners of the night editions and they had the dct fault, i was one of them. mine also had the coolant issue and the right front wheel bearing was starting to fail at 3000 miles, so i got rid of it. just because it is not in the recall list does not mean it's safe.
A competitor to the Honda Ridgeline HPF, both plastic fender flare editions for looking mean going to the mall. Glad this video was taken in its natural environment.
Jesus so many whiners in the comment section 😂 Thank you for your video! It’s a beautiful car especially with stickers on the rally. Who did it if you don’t mind to ask? Thank you again
Why don’t they just take this damn video down and do another one? This is so stupid and annoying to listen to!! Had to stop a couple minutes into it smfh 🤦🏾🤦🏾
Just redo the video. Not many people saw it. Not like you can't go and same spot same equipment. Don't put out junk you don't put a burnt steak on the customer's plate and say it was the heatwave outside. Just take down the video make a better one and come back.
You know the engineer? Ask him about the 53k+ recall announced today due to the transmission system failure leading to loss of driver control. I would get that checked out before you go doing more Rally racing...Ooof.
The wheels look like they came from the early 80’s. Really incredibly ugly. The design is -10 out off 100. People with no artistic skills and eye should have nothing to do with the aftermarket.

Who would've thought a Santa Cruz would actually look pretty cool as a little race truck!
Wait till you see it wrapped!

Hyundai should offer a similar setup for sale, like the Subaru Wilderness models
Agree

Hyundai must come out with a AWD hybrid version with their 5000lb towing capacity as Ford is working on a version for the Maverick!

The plastic around the wheel well is NOT aftermarket. It's totally factory.
It will be nice to see how well the dct transmission holds up?
Perfectly fine. 8 days, 10 hours per day in extreme heat and no issues.

She is 5'.
Can you share info about the cross bars now that it’s been almost a year?
Where you get down the truck I have the same I want to doing like this
Where are the bed racks from?
One-off concept bed rack developed by Hyundai. Not available for sale currently.
Rally Innovations did the raised rack holding the tire. It was custom for this truck.
Where can I buy the tire mount?
It turned out that other Japanese automakers ( including Ford and GM) already came out with similar size pickups in Asia. We are slow
What lift kit did you use?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! TOTALLY AWSOME VIDEO!!!! A MUST WATCH!!!!
The spare could be held with a large wing but for faster removal..
SUGGESTION: FOUR WHEELER MAGAZINE
Who sells the lower bar by the skid plate? Great video despite the sound.
