I remember pushing 6 enemy ships on a flank by myself in the Odin and actually survived the engagement while shattering that flank, while most of my team was behind an island. One of the enemy captains said I had balls doing that.
@@Choukai_Chan they are not completely useless, they are still a tool of psychological warfare and lighting of fires. Also Odin is a bit sturdier then Zieten due to different armor layout. It serves a purpose of "ambush-hunt and kill". Kiting is not great in this ship as Yuro pointed out, so you need to be able to conquer areas you are going to push in and/or use "checkpoints" like islands to get a refreshment. But the ship is really maneuvreable and secondaries can and will do their work, though definitely not as efficient. But the range is actually useful for earlier start of aiming improvement and buildup for those 60% accuracy buff. Add in Lutjens and you get a pretty good ship.

Since the last patch I feel like shells going straight through and getting fires with every shell has increased dramatically... They did 100% mess up something...
Maybe they accidentally mixed up the new patch with the old WoWs Blitz 1.0 files. Torps and shells had a mind of their own back then, and they could phase through the barriers of reality itself

Im one of those specials who runs a secondary odin lmao its honestly quite fun in those rare times you get a tier 6 game, you get to cosplay right among the tier 6 bbs.. other than that it is miserable in randoms and I dont exactly play it frequently I do find it to be acceptably decent in ranked though. Yeet into an island by cap, pop hydro, and then farm anything that comes along. Your secondaries will pen something like a massa but his will struggle to do more than light fires thanks to the thick deck/ upper belt and small superstructure. The low pen/velocity of the guns also makes it reasonably strong at getting penetration damage on superstructure. The size, maneuverability, hydro, and torps also all just feel really good for those inevitable knife fights. Its not like you are going to need to kite in ranked anyhow
I found right when this thing came out that it was actually good to run rudder mod on it, because it has a good turning circle and really good armor aside from that one problem. Rudder mod makes it a bit easier to make the shells not hit you in your no no square by baiting them into shooting your belt instead, then turning. Might also be that it came out right when wg finally fixed the ricochet sounds and I was just getting addicted to the clonk clank clunk noises.
Also i remember a 1v1 against an Odin in my Pensacola and winning. It has been 2 years since but now I finally understand the reason. It has baffled me until now how I was able to do it.
What is retreating for other BBs is actually rear treating for Odin :) She's good for Operations thou - and I'm not playing any PvP game type where subs are present anyway till that brilliant WG game designers fix those sub shotguns. Excellent video BTW.
I once in a hipper with another friendly hipper met a full health odin with a derpitz player (probably). I thought i was going to die since im leading the charge against the odin ... unload all my torps at it ... with the friendly hipper finnish it off ... together we won the game while humiliated both sides with a double hipper carry ...

there is nothing more dangerous than a half conscious boomer in his HE spamming Colorado/New Mexico, at least on NA completely immune to citadels, nothing in the game could citadel him at any range, completely immune to fires, gets the most ridiculous volleys off in the few moments where he is lucid and someone gets in range of him riding the 10 line
Talking about Premium ships, I recently got Constellation, which is by far the most enjoyable ship I ever played in this Game. You should try it out, Yuro ^^
One reason why Scharnhorst was a great ship is the fact that the old MM almost never put T7 ships against the T8, let alone against the T9. The T7 ships had "protected" MM. The same can be said about Saipan, which only had to be cautious against Atlanta's AA.
I love Yuro videos because they warn me what not to spend my monies on. Feel like WG was banking on the sales before videos came out on this thing because, other than collectors, whales and masochists, who would buy this ship???
