Ah, Grasshopper tries to run mouth to Master and gets smashed flat under the weight of his limited vision regarding solutions to the fundamental issue. Master puts on a clinic by demonstrating that there are several ways to win a race and given there were very few rules or guidelines set forth prior to the showdown, utilized equipment and techniques that were plainly available and not specifically forbidden by Grasshopper who was blinded by his over confidence and belief that he knew all he needed to know about the solution to the crux of the issue: travel speed and settings… this was a very very good example of a, “hey man, hold my beer” moment. I love it. Master Bob crushing the soul, hopes and dreams of the Man Cub once again, hahahahah

I'm ex Army, so Woolwich Hospital and arsenal are places I had occasion to frequent.Often got Brahms and Liszt there ;). The arsenal would work out how to blow your bits off, the hospital would work out how to stitch em back on.

Doesn't Bob get welders flash when he looks at it? I have a welder and an auto dark helmet but im scared of welders flash so im scared of using it.
Maybe not flashed but it does effect your eyes even not directly looking at you it. A lot of older welders do that for some reason. It’ll catch up to em.

Both are master craftsmen and are multi skilled, but I tend to think of Jody as in aerospace and Bob in pipelining and construction, either of them could cross skill no sweat, but they are both old dogs with more tricks than a -well never mind. So a welding face off would prove nothing Better to get them swapping stories over beers.

You know...i constantly see overly ambitious young guns come in to my shop and think they're gonna weld circles around me. Sure, maybe they do outpace me for a while. But you know what they say about slow and steady.. Most of them don't last a year.
