- Shekinah can't believe her ears when Sarper asks if SHE feels pity for HIM! Hilarious!! He grabbed her phone and ripped out her hair extensions and HE wants HER to feel sorry that he's "overthinking"? Boo-hoo. Sarper's inability to say sorry (yep, I counted!) and his desperate attempt to play the victim should be enough to send Shekinah packing. But sadly, for some unfathomable reason, she still chooses to give him another chance.
Shekinah might talk a good game and pay lip service to setting an example for her daughter, but I'm afraid they're just words. It's hot air. If she really meant it, the only words she should be saying are "bye bye Sarper".

Shekinah may call out Sarper on his behavior, however she never gives him consequences or sets boundaries. She participates in his back-and-forth toxic behavior. While she can't control his behavior she can control his access to her. So by continuing to remain in this relationship, she participates in it. Some people are addicted to dr.ugs, and others are addicted to drama.
She stopped him from coaching female gym clients, thus diminishing his income, their income. So if the story is believable, he does what she tells him. Both are ridiculous.

ive been disappointed with the coverage of many commentary youtubers about this situation. They clown Shakina (talking about My Thots and Bobba among others ) but the truth of being assaulted while being alone in an unfamiliar country after your abuser has isolated you from your family is really really scary. Im sending love to Shakina and anyone else in a similar situation.

Victims of abuse tend to feel powerless in relationships and I think Shekinah is trying her best to gain control in the situation while being empathetic towards Sarper. It's hard but she needs to redirect that empathy towards herself and emotionally accept that it's better to walk away than spend so much time and energy trying to get a man to fix himself.

Its worth mentioning, Shekinas left a very constrictive religious upbringing with her family for a totally different lifestyle in communications.
I think her feelings are conflicting for Sarper, his beliefs are probably closer to those of her family than they realize- and she isnt in a rush to get back to them either.

This is not a man. A boy thinks the world revolves around him as his mother validates this in his childhood. This is what I see in sarper. Shekina behaves as his mother. This is not an equitable relationship. Mother and son. His mother did not do him any favors by not expecting more of him when he became a man in age. She probably still validates that he is the center of the universe to her.
Exactly. A good Mother also lets their child grow up, get married and move on with their lives. Saarper's mother cares more that he lives by her than that he gets married and/or is happy.

I remember in my you ger years when I had out of control hormones being angry at my significant other at the time. I remember the yelling getting so intense and I had a tiny tin Altos lid in my hand. I was so enraged I threw the lid aiming at the couch pillow. I don't know what I was thinking other than responding to anger. My partner at the time was sitting on the couch and we were both at opposite ends of the family room and our distance was so far apart. He wasn't even laying on the couch pillow . He said he was trying to catch the lid when he saw me throw it. But all I could see was that lid hitting him in the face. I just remember feeling so flummoxed and in such disbelief and sorrow and remource and crying and pleading for forgiveness and on my knees. He was graceful and gave me forgiveness and mercy. And I am still tearing up and feeling like doggy poo for my actions. We are friends now and not lovers. And after 30 years I still get upset with the fact I couldn't control my temper and threw a tin lid intentionally and hit him by accident. I just can't understand why Sarper won't say sorry and make restitution.

This is exactly why I'm single and I don't date any longer. Apparently I had a knack for picking men like this. I then realized I had a part to play in these screwed up relationships. So I decided I'm going to take a break stop dating get to the root of what my problem is and I'm pretty sure it's my dad. But as time went by I realized I don't need a man. I don't need him to compliment me to support me to make me feel whole or make me happy. I went from always needing to have a man to not having one for the past 12 years No other human being on the face of the planet should be the reason for your happiness. My issues were from severe abuse by my dad so I always craved I had to have it I couldn't live without that love from a man. Now absolutely no way do I need a man I do not hate men I don't dislike them I just don't need them. There's a big difference I make my own self happy and I love being single and alone pretty cool feeling. If I ever choose to start dating I will but it's not an important factor in my life or a necessity
