I can't get over the fact that you are so calm, so compose, so decent! I find you a very beautiful woman and I'm looking forward to see all of your videos (I'll go from most recent to the very first one that started this channel). As a woman of 35 (today), your journey is quite engaging for me, since myself I took (recently) a more profound approach on life (your bday clip moved me so much - it actually broke my strike of month in not commenting in any of the clips I was watching. I'm so happy youtube algorithm picked you out of the millions to watch. You hit hard home. I find you so, so relatable. Thank you SO SO much for posting these videos. I'm already on my 3rd clip watched and I WANT MORE :) (best wishes to 'mom' - lovely woman) Regarding this informative clip, I have to say thank you. I was considering a posture corrector for the longest time ever, really. Now you convinced me, I have to try it. I'm a personal assistant for an alzheimer patient. My back is killing me. I started some exercises and those help, but if I can improve more, why shouldn't I give it a try. Thank you for taking your time to walk about this fantastic piece of equipment
I just ordered this after your video and I love it! I’m so glad you mentioned sizing- it made me go measure myself and I ordered the Junior instead. It fits perfect. I really like that it seems to help gently encourage my shoulders to drop down. I also have a mild scoliosis in my upper back, so I’m hoping this will help support that and decrease pain. Nice video!
@@ZaccyonlineVery Helpful! I love wearing it for walks/runs, and during studying/working as it prevents me from being in pain later from bad posture. I recommend!
these things have been popping up a lot in my feeds recently, great video simple explanation and checkable references i wish more YT's were a like this rather than 10 mins of their life story before getting to the point. TY😊
Recently discovered your channel! I love how down-to-earth and gentle you come across. The warmth of your personality shows in your videos. Random coincidence: as a part of a 100 day challenge I have set myself, I am working on doing the [side] splits. I was in the middle of practising with your video playing on the sofa in front of me, when you mentioned that you’re doing a splits challenge too! 😀
I suffer with lower back pain, have done for year's. Saw a physio (again) last week and she said it's my bad posture causing the issue. I'm doing the exercises she gave me, but think I'll get one of these too. Thanks for the video 😊
I watched this video and I got one of these to try. I can tell a difference when I'm wearing it because I naturally sit up straight and I remain like that for a bit after taking it off. So definitely worth using one. My only issue is that the straps dig into my armpits and wearing just a t-shirt is a bit uncomfortable
The BEST exercise I’ve found for posture is 5-20 minutes a day of ESSENTRICS. It is very easy and slow but the results in how I carry myself are amazing (when I do it 🙃). Every woman needs this as we get older to prevent stiffness and poor posture.
Hey, thank you for your comment. I totally agree about exercises, I can be difficult to break from our day/work to do them though can't it? I am that person 🙋🏼♀️ 🤪
I have several posture correctors (thank you, osteoporosis and upper back fractures.) All they do is dig into my armpits, and leave my upper back as rounded as ever. But what it DID do is ease the pain in my upper abdomen. I've shrunk a lot and my upper belly just sort of folded in on itself. It was painful and distressing. Compression from the band actually gave me some relief. 😅
During lockdown, I started using an app called Seven. This broke me out of my normal (limited) exercise routine by doing a wider range of exercises and found that my posture and overall movement was much better. No pains, fixed shoulder pain too. I suppose my point is, i agree with Sam, if you practice a more rounded exercise routine, your overall heath included your body structural also improves.
Not sure how I was recommended this channel exactly. But it is clear to me I need to move to the UK to find such an incredibly adorable lady!! Great Video! Keep it up!
The problem I have with the concept of back posture correctors is what you see with your before and after 3-months shot (at 5:09 ). Your shoulders might be further back but for a great posture your ears are supposed to be over your shoulder, your shoulder over your hip, your hip over your knee, your knee over your ankle. Here at 5:09 you can see your head is still slumped forward, because the back posture corrector does just that and does not correct the head.
Thanks for posting this. Sometimes I find certain task i do I feel that I need some help. Have always been told not to use one of these but using it in moderation sounds good to me. You mention active and passive which is a really good take away. Great post.
Another useful and timely video. I’ll def get one of there for myself and my wife. We could both do with some more work in this area in spite of yoga most days. Exercise video would be great too!
I would love to see posture exercises in a video. I have a problem with the nerves running through my shoulders, that cause bicep pain and I struggle to raise my arms to the side above shoulder height, mainly due to working in IT for 35 years! I need to open my shoulders up to create more space!
This is great for ballroom dancers as it makes them aware of their posture. The Alexander Technique would be worth learning as a lot of dancers use this technique.
Hi there. Brilliant channel and keep up the cool content. Strange question, what's the watch you are wearing in this video and some others? The round white one. Cheers and merry Christmas from Australia 🇦🇺 😀 😊 👍
Hey, this was super helpful! Could you do one on those arch-support insoles for flat feet? I think that's something that has a lot of debate around it.
Like a corset it doesn’t help you build muscle where you need it. You’re better off adjusting your pillows at night to ensure your neck and shoulders can open up rather than support upper body leaning down. Ironically dancing is a great way to strengthen your core! I highly recommend it 🤍
I have this brace and I hate it. It has to be super tight for it to work and it hurts your underarms greatly. And truthfully other than give me pain, this doesnt do anything at all
I am so curious to follow up with you now that its been 2 years. Are you using it, hows your back and breathing? thank you kindly. about to try it for next 3-4 months.
i have just ordered one i have had one previously but it was not adjustable and hurt so i stopped wearing it. I have ankylosing spondylitis which causes of the spine and lately i have had trouble getting out of breath This could be caused by my posture and my ribcage fusing together like my back. so hopefully this will start me on my road to better posture
hi Laura, Nice video on posture correctors. I'm thinking of buying one (called Camelback Correction Belt) for my 69 y.o. brother who often suffers from back pain. P.S. I love that little guitar in your room. Playing guitar used to be a big part of my life.
I was really blinded into buying these.. but the view point of active exercises has made me believe we can buy it then practice those exercises ...so yes...yes to better posture
Posture exercises video please. As a watchmaker I really struggle with my posture as I'm hunched over a workbench all day. I use self massage, foam rollers and other mobilisation, but to no avail. I tried one of these correctors, but without the waist strap and it felt so awkward, maybe the waist strap helps here? I'd love to see some exercises that may also help. Thanks for the video LT.
Thanks for sharing this valuable information... How many hours were you wearing this in a day? How many hours do you recommend us to wear this? Ofcourse I would love to see your back exercises for posture. Please share it soon. Thanks
Awesome video, was looking into Posture correction and came across your video. So a part 2 would be excellent... love your TH-cam Channel and have Subscribed...
It’s a bit like the tape my physio put on my shoulder to help my rotator cuff injury.. which is likely caused by poor posture. Curious to see the posture exercises too.
I enjoyed your video. Please do a workstation assessment (search for DSE assessment). Nobody should sit hunched on a laptop like that - it will damage your spine.
Very helpful video. I was considering getting one but my physio said pretty much the same as Sam so I'm doing active work on thoracic spine mobility which is working well (as well as Pilates and CrossFit!). Really well presented! p.s. also looking forward to the splits video!
Really appreciated the thoughtful and honest feedback. Thank you!

Have you tried a yoga strap to try and fix your posture? Would be interested in if there is a difference between them.
I don’t know why they don’t add some soft edge fabric at the elastic on armpits, as hard edge elastic rubbed me red raw
