    Resos are so undervalued when it comes to different playing styles. I originally got mine just to slide on but instead I prefer it for fingerpicking (so I take it out of open tunings). It just makes sense to fingerpick something that resonates so well. Thanks for the vid Benjamin. Love a French accent!

      @benjaminguillet3210  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your feedback. In fact I don't think I'm struggling a lot on my NRP, but the Mule have a lower action for sure. The action on my NRP tricone is around 3.5mm at the 12th fret on the low E string and 3mm on the high E. The solution if you want a lower action is probably to lower the saddle, but you have to take care of the strings angle on the bridge. A lot of resonator players are doing neck reset to have a proper action. A luthier who knows this kind of instrument will probably help you a lot.

    Je ne connaissais pas "Mule resophonics", très impressionné ! Et très perturbant cette tricone au look de single cone. Ce sont des 6 pouces aussi ? Comme toujours avec les réso, elles ont toutes un caractère très différent, c'est ce que j'aime. Même si j'ai une préférence pour les sons type National par rapport au spider Dobro. Bravo pour le jeu (et l'anglais ;-) )! Je m'abonne !

      Merci beaucoup ! Ce sont bien des 6 pouces dans le tricone Mule. Elles sont toutes différentes et c'est ce qui est génial effectivement.

    well played! Just curious which string guage you are using :) Just put a set of EJ22's (13-56) on my drobo, and I get the impression that more mass equals more resonator :)

      Oh that's a tough question. The NRP tricone is the very first resonator I bought, so I learned a lot on this instrument and its impact on my playing is huge. So I'll probably pick this one. But the others are fantastic too.

      Merci ! Elle m'a été offerte par Matt, le boss de chez Mule. En France il faut attendre qu'il ouvre des commandes pour l'internationale. Ça arrive 1/2 fois par an. Il faut être ultra réactif car généralement c'est pour un nombre limité de commande et ça part en 1h.

      @@Fenouil2020 elles ont toutes une projection équivalente. Elles projettent un peu plus qu'une manouche mais n'ont sans doute pas le confort d'une manouche. Hormis peut-être la Mule si on lui met un tirant un peu plus faible.

    You have a fantastic jazz technique. It especially sounded great on your resonators. Resonators are usually played for Bluegrass, country and blues. I don’t get to hear jazz on a resonator much. It’s a myth that resonators are just made for blues and slide.

      Never forget that original tricones were expensive guitars, mainly used by pros in jazz bands , in the ’30s : no Delta bluesmen could afford a triplate, in those days: a Duolian was, in most cases, out of reach...
