Beau panorama des différents types de résophoniques, avec tout de même une absence : les modèles vraiment électriques (type National Resolectric), mais on ne peut pas tout acheter ! Sans mystère, dans ce monde cruel le prix est, hélas, décisif, et les plus chères (National Tricone et Fine Resophonic Style O) sont vraiment supérieures : durée des notes, richesses des harmoniques... Belle video, où vous avez l'immense mérite de l'absence totale de snobisme : des modèles "populaires" (c'est à dire accessibles) comme Mule, Gretsch ou Amistar peuvent sonner très convenablement, sans disposer d'un budget de trader.

Out of these four do you have a favorite? I own a National polychrome similar to your tricone and a Dobro single plate. The mule is a nice guitar too I've heard. tom in Maine

This was great. Thanks for a great and enjoyable video. I met Bill Collings at a race track here in Texas in 1998. We used the same mechanic for our Porsche’s. He invited me out to tour his shop at the time. I met him early in ‘98 by the way. In August of ‘98 I saw the BLUE GUITARS display at the Smithsonian. Bill had a guitar in that show! I was blown away. I went to the shop in the fall and had a great tour. I bought an OM1 while I was there. One of Bill’s luthiers let me borrow his Parker Fly so I had that for a year and went back to the factory again. Then in 2004 or 2005 the OM1 in its case fell off my lap and the head broke off the guitar so I went to his new factory to drop off the OM1 for repair. Steve McCreary gave me the tour that day, Bill was at the race track with his spec Miata he was racing. It was a spectacular new facility! Amazing! That day I bought an SJ Cutaway that I still have and love! I want an arch top and am thinking about the WL-AT. I wonder if they could make one for me and make it blue as a tribute to the BLUE GUITARS arch top…

Thank you for actually playing some regular acoustic chords and riffs, so we can compare it to the sound of a regular acoustic guitar. Ppl love to demo resonators with aggressive slide riffs which make it hard to distinguish the tone of the instrument from the tone of slide guitar

They all sound so different :) My favourites were the Tricone and the biscuit bridge. I love the sound of a wooden tricone - best of both worlds😬. Is it comfortable to palm mute on the tricone, with the T bridge? Cheers!

The notes sound very nice although the slide sounds a little scratchy, like porcelain. Nice sustain and a warm tone :).
