These lights look so good! Congrats on their sponsorship. You deserve it for all the knowledge and experience you've freely shared with us over the years. Don't let anyone make you think otherwise!

I understand this is a sponsored video, but I have the SANSI grow light. It’s a fraction of the price, more powerful and I’ve had it for over a year. It’s been really good!

Thank you! I want a soltech but I’m broke college student trying to get back out of my parents house after covid and all it’s back knocked me down. I’ll look into SANSI! If you could like this just so I can find this comment later when I have time. I’m worried I’ll forget. 😬🤦🏻‍♀️😅

@@ekamarie6632 I have both Soltech and Sansi. I like both for different reasons. The Soltech is all-in one fixture and bulb and has a modern, minimalist look about it. It is pricey though. It's also very heavy so you have to be prepared to hang it with proper anchors. The Sansi bulbs are great and more flexible. But they are bulbs, you have to figure out what fixture to put them in. But that has not been a problem for me. I have put them in cheap 3-bulb floor lamps and also clip lights like one might use in a dorm. You can also just use a simple outlet fixture with cord and it will work the same as Aspect, it just will look a little more 'rustic' so to speak. But they work well and have lasted for several years.

Basically just paying for the look. I live in a basement apartment and primarily grow my plants with grow lights. For what you pay for one of these, you can have some cute IKEA track lights and several bulbs to get your setup going. My plants use regular LED lights, you just have to understand the science behind it

@@dorkolicious525 I use a few different ones. Of all different price points looks and functions and so far by far the absolute best light I swear by is the SunBlaster T5HO.
Not that anyone asked just felt like sharing. I’ve saved plants 95% of ppl would consider completely dead with this light. I had bought a syngonium frost and had went to the grocery store and there was a huge ice/snow storm. So I get home I take in groceries slipping and stumbling in 6” of snow freezing weather just a very unpleasant experience. I wake up are 4am with the sudden realization that I forgot my plants in the car. I dash out and it is frozen. Over frosted if you will. It unthaws into the ugliest flimsiest brown pile of mush. Not a single piece of green any where. But I just paid $40 for this thing so I cut off the dead and pop under my SunBlaster. And I have 3 new baby leaves popping up out of the soil. And I was horrible! I had forgot to water it for a while like I really did everything wrong with that plant. But I swear it’s bc of that lights it’s putting off new growth now.

I have 2 Sansi lights for almost four years. More efficient, fraction of the cost, warm lighting, I can screw it into most light fixtures I already have AND it has a higher PPF rating (photosynthetic photon flux) output, which is measures the actually usable light for a plant. If you compare the micro moles per second of the Vita bulb ($75) with the Sansi, the 15w - $20, it emits twice the amount of usable light.

Hi Nick! I'm glad that Soltech sponsored this video for you. I know that you love this light, and I've seen how well all of the plants you've put under it have done. I just wish they weren't so expensive. LOL! Thank you so much for sharing1

So excited to see your sponsorship with them! You’ve had this light in your background forever and I’ve seen how your plants have thrived with it!

I can’t find very much on breakdown of coverage area of grow light bulbs and intensity based on different distances within the coverage area in general… If anyone could answer this that would be amazing. For example, I don’t want to burn my plants- are all the burnt tips on the Rhaphidophora tetrasperma caused by being under light that might be too strong? If so, are there any companies that think to include a sort of useful PPFD rate and distance map or diagram?

Got mine via UPS Canada. There are freight fees if ordering outside of the USA. The light is as exactly as Nick describes it. Great quality, well made. I hope I have the same success with my plants and this light. I used the code and got a small discount, better than nothing. Now that I have it set up and I see how good the quality is I am very tempted to buy a couple of more. However, because of the additional shipping fees I might wait for a bigger sale. Nick, where did you get the corner stand and wall trellis? They are beautiful.

Have you ever used a quantum PAR meter to measure how much light your plants are receiving? I'd love to get some numbers to be able to replicate your results with my own plants.

I can't afford to buy most of the things from sponsors but I always clicks the links and browse because he will make a little bit of money from just people clicking the links. I try to support my favorite youtubers/ content creators however I can. I hope others will too!

You can’t afford to buy the sponsored items yet you click to enable someone else to be able to afford them. OK!!!
I love plant TH-cam videos but the only thing I’ve learnt from them is that you only learn by your own experiences.
