My favorite Eddie Money song growing up in the 80’s and always takes me back to my high school years . Eddie Money not only sang but he played the piano, sax and harmonica. RIP Eddie .
@sirlech @misspvtledbetter Eddie Money was awesome. I love his tunes but I think you picked a real winner here. I know I love this song. I think I’m in love is one rockin tune . I’m glad you thought of it .😊shakin is my second favorite, they said they had done that one. Still love it💙
Eddie was the first performer of the year at Pine Knob Music Theater, and outdoor venue, just north of Detroit, every year for many years, right up until he passed.
I love Eddie Money so much. This is one of my favorites of his. I first heard this song when I was a young man of 21 in 1986. I remember remarking to friends in 1986 that I would probably feel the same way as Eddie’s lyrics suggest when I got older. 21 year old me already understood it. Now I’m 59, and I REALLY WANNA GO BACK AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!!! I would immediately give away all my material possessions if I could go back to the 1980s and to all the fun that that incredible decade brought. Oh yeah. (I honestly got chills listening to this masterpiece just now!)
Eddie was NYPD for three years while getting his recording career going..I'm glad he changed jobs! ( He said he wasn't exactly the pride of the force, anyway) How about his breakout hit, "Baby Hold On"?
When I was still in uniform and stationed overseas. Eddie Money came out twice and did free shows for us. Before the show, he spent time visiting with the guys. I'll always appreciate him.
One of my favorite artists of all time! I actually met him before, when I worked for Best Buy and I helped him find some DVDs. He was very personable and offered me free tickets to his concert that night, but I couldn't go because I was already at work and had to close that night.
my friend was washing his truck at a carwash when a stretch limo pulled into the bay next to him and Eddie Money jumped out of the driver's door and started washing the car. my friend said "aren't you Eddie Money, why are you washing a limo?" and the reply was "because Eddie likes his fu@#$ng Money! I get charged if I turn it back in dirty. "
I won an 8-track player back in the day for being the best newspaper delivery boy at that time. Eddy Money was one of the first 8-tracks I bought. Mom was so proud! She passed away suddenly shortly after that, when I was 15. I forgot all about that prize until I heard you play this song just now. What a memory from the late 70s.
Please don’t ever stop this channel. I need that go to smile. Life is good and it’s better when I can tune in from time to time and get that smile back. 💯🕊💕
My all-time favorite song from Eddie Money. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the two of you were reacting to the song tonight. It's just too bad that Eddie left us way too soon.😢
This song brings back great memories of a great time for music, and sadness, because I want to go back to this time & do things better- knowing what I know now. This is definitely one of those songs that brings back the nostalgia of the 80's.
He put on a good concert - saw him for $9 in college in 1983 - SO FUN!!! LOVE EDDIE MONEY!! I liked Shakin', too, Amber!! GREAT TUNES!!! HUGS, YA'LL!!!
RIP Eddie. I got to see him perform in a small venue at my college back in the day. He completely killed that concert. The next morning we all learned that Eddie went on stage and performed with a 104 degree fever that night. We had no idea. Such a great performer. Checkout “Bring Me Some Water” next!
Absolutely one of my FAVORITE songs from Eddie Money! I just turned 53 and wish I could go back to the modulate 80's! Such an incredible time and we didn't realize it when we were in it.
This song gets me every time, especially towards the end when they slow it down. I made some bad choices, I would love another shot at life and Quantum Leap and make right that once was wrong. Some people will get that.
As someone who grew up in the 80's...and graduated high school in 92, this song always hits me hard. Trust me, the older you get, the more this song will stir the emotions.
I wanna back to the 80’s or 90’s when I had no worries, starting a family. I wanna go back the 1970’s, listening to Eddy Money brings back so manny memories.
Water water everywhere. “Gimme Some Water”, “ Walk on Water”. “ Baby Hold On”, “Think I’m in Love “. All great. Went to his concert at Pine Knob, MI. He was “past his prime” cheap ticket but what a bargain. Hit after hit.
His voice made the song and the sax and drums were punctuations on the melody. I saw Eddie in concert in the early 80’s and it was one of the best concerts ever. Still remember it vividly. He’s sadly missed.❤
Beautifully stated; his voice was amazing. I saw him around that time also and it was one of the best that I’ve ever seen. He was special and I miss him too.
I am 52 yrs.old. my I wanna go back, is when I was a teenager in the 80's and I had a friend that his parents would let us have a little camp fire in the back yard, and alot of us would hang out and listen to music, roast hot dogs, and marshmallows, etc. And maybe have a few beers in a safe environment, we all called his parents Mom and Dad, and they would play their music and they actually liked some of our music, Motley Crue, Poisin, etc. We had such a good time, and didn't bother anyone, we just had a good time.
This song hit at me real hard. I have always been a huge Eddie Money fan. The very first time I ever heard of ever saw Eddie was on Saturday Night Live he sang Two Tickets To Paradise and Baby Hold On. I went out a few days later and bought the album. One of my favorite albums of all time. That gave me a little attachment to him and just a few years ago my Wife and I saw him in concert and that was just a very few months before he passed away. My Wife and I wondered if he even knew that he was sick. That song just bought back a lot of great memories of him.I have all of his CDS 💿 and a lot of his albums. I Love ❤️ Eddie Money’s singing and the music 🎶 to his songs. Plus I had lost my oldest brother by the name of Eddie in the early 2000s. I have lost just about all of my family. Out of eleven family members there are only four of us left. My youngest sister is in her middle fifty and I sixty seven in bad health a older sister in her early seventies in bad health then I have a brother who is seventies seven. I Love ❤️ and miss my family members who are know longer here. This may sound very stupid but this song brought back so many memories because when this song came out most of them were still alive. At the time of the release of this song I had only lost one family member in which I was nineteen and he was in his early thirties. I had lost so many family members at a young age. 6:58 !
Amber asked for our "I Wanna Go Back Moments." Well, Jay and Amber, listening to all these songs I know from growing up and beyond through your ears for the first time is taking me back. Your reactions are enabling me to hear old favorites as if for the very first time, and I've found myself laughing, crying and singing along. Can't thank you enough for that! xo
Here’s a couple of my Eddie Money favorite songs.. Nobody, Peace in our Time and Looking thru the eyes of a Child, Keep up the Great Music.. Love Your Reactions
My very first concert was in '78. The Greatful Dead, Santana, The Outlaws, and Eddie Money. Blew me away. One of my favorites from Mr. Money is "Gimme Some Water".
So many hits. So many great songs. I even love the lesser known songs. I heard "Take a Little Bit" on the radio today. I had forgotten how good a song that one was. I got to see Eddie Money in concert, and it was awesome!
I can’t hear this song without getting choked up. I’m so glad you understood the theme and sentimentality of it, it always takes me back to my high school days when, like you said, we didn’t appreciate how great our days were.
Absolutely one of my Eddie Money faves! Kudos for giving it a listen and the positive feedback. I miss Eddie but his music will live on and I'm glad I got to see him in person twice. Rock on Eddie!
Seen him in concert 4 times was great every time. This is my favorite song of his. Makes me think of less stressful times and high school. Playing my last game and not realizing the full extent of what I would be missing. the team mates, hanging out , just being the jock and all the stuff that went with it.
RIP Eddie! I met him after a concert about 11 years ago. He was signing autographs if you bought an item from the merchandise table and the money went to a charity. He saw my husbands Red Sox jacket and we talked about baseball. He was VERY down to earth and had no airs about him whatsoever. BTW, he was an NYPD cop before he was famous.
OK ok...Eddie has a banger that we used to do in a band I played in....We opened and closed out the night with it...."We should be sleepin" is an absolute rockin song. Probably his most rocking song I've heard.....give it a listen.
I love Eddie Money! This song is especially poignant at this point in my life. At 65 years old, I wonder how the years went so quickly. So many places I used to go are long gone now. You really can't go back. But...if I could, would love to go back to age thirty! That was 1988 and life was so much fun!! 💗
I wanna go back... to Blockbuster. To Toys R Us. To Sam Goody. To my favorite childhood burger joint that closed down years ago. To arcades. To the movie theater to see Back to the Future for the first time again. To Saturday morning cartoons. To The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. To the height of Hulkamania on WWF (Yes, that's WWF, not WWE).
This song came out when I was in highschool and I knew even back then that the song would hold more meaning as I got older. Now in middle age, it just makes me tear up and wish I could go back.😪
This man belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
It’s a shame that he’s been overlooked over and over again.
Eddie Money was an American treasure. He was down to earth and had a great sense of humor.

Eddie was the first performer of the year at Pine Knob Music Theater, and outdoor venue, just north of Detroit, every year for many years, right up until he passed.
We spend most of our childhood wishing we were grown up and most of our adulthood wishing we were kids again.
“Hopin’ that I’d get it right”, what a line
Eddie Money. RIP. Saw him 4 times live. He put on a great show.
"Two tickets to Paradise," was his #1 hits on the billboard. Catchy tune!
I love Eddie Money so much. This is one of my favorites of his. I first heard this song when I was a young man of 21 in 1986. They reacted to Baby Hold On a year ago. Check out the reaction some time.
Think I'm in Love by Eddie Money, that would be a great one to hear next!
"I Think I'm In Love" is a total Eddie Money banger R.I.P. Eddie.
Wow! I used to love this song and now at 62 years old this is killing me 😥
As a Gen-X'er, I will attest that 80's nostalgia is the best kind of nostalgia. 😀
When I was still in uniform and stationed overseas. Eddie Money came out twice and did free shows for us. Before the show, he spent time visiting with the guys. I'll always appreciate him.

How cool he carried concert tickets with him. That says it all.
@@Reyne-fb7mj, the concert was at a club. General admittance in others that I went to around the same time.
I remember bawling to this song after leaving my parent’s house in my hometown as an adult 😢
Oooh Amber, Shakin is my favorite too!
For those of 80s teens, I see this video and it just fills us with so much nostaglia.
Eddie Money was the start of summer in Detroit as he opened Pine Knob 28 straight years (1992-2019). I was fortunate to see many of them. RIP Eddie.
Miss him opening Pine Knob every year. We were blessed that he loved Michigan so much that he kicked off our summers for so many years.
Eddie Money and The Beach Boys were Pine Knob staples.
That is so cool he did that every year..... what a memory to carry y'all through the rest of your lives
My favorite Eddie Money song is Baby Hold On To Me. I remember dancing with my dad in the living room to it as a kid.
my friend was washing his truck at a carwash when a stretch limo pulled into the bay next to him and Eddie Money jumped out of the driver's door and started washing the car. my friend said "aren't you Eddie Money, why are you washing a limo?" and the reply was "because Eddie likes his fu@#$ng Money! I adore this ballad!! One of my favourite of all ballads.
My man from the 70's-80's...loved his music. Still think he belongs in RRHF. Thanks, Eddie Money for some sweet, brassy music. RIP
“Two Tickets to Paradise “. Must be live.

Another great song that sings about nostalgia is Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen.
Listening to this song all those years ago when it would come on the radio, I just didn’t realize how true it would ring today. Oh to be 17 again…
Sax. That’s what we’re missing today. Life would be better if we all just got more sax.
I like Walk on Water or Endless Nights as his next song to check out
Eddie Money had so many great hits, but one of my favorites is the not so popular Gimme Some Water.
One of the GREAT live performers. I grew up in Bay Area clubs watching Eddie from around 1976. Incredible party every show
