Its interesting that the mounts overlap the glass... I'm not sure what I think about that.
One con that comes to mind, is that you need to completely remove the racks in order to just pop up any of those edge panels "side sale appliques" (I think they are called), for example to access the light bar power? I have the CyberTruckCO racks and their footprint is only the size of the mount points, so those OEM side pieces can technically pop up a few inches without removing the racks.
I had my tonneau cover rubber seal start to separate from the side applique part, so I need to partially disassemble the mounts in order to replace that part. And similarly when I get my light bar, I would need to access under that part of the roof, but I only have position #2 and #3 installed, so just need to bend up that panel slightly to get to the wires (maybe)...
I think I have an install video of my rack if anyone cares to check out what I'm talking about.

Wouldn't be too difficult to model and 3D print a rubber foot to use instead of those pads under the mounts, with reveals and insets to assure registration/fit under the mount. It could be black and look a lot better too, along with not retaining water like those pads would likely be doing. Understand you guys were getting ready for your trip so not time to worry too much about it then, but I bet it wouldn't be too hard to make.

great idea... we still have to get the video done for the other two and some testing, so might see about that
