      Thank you very much Eric! You always seem to make my day with your kind words, I'm finishing up the bearings video, I know you are getting up there in miles, so you might find it helpful brother 🤙

      Hi George!! Sorry about the delayed response brother, i'm actually on a 10 day tour right now!! LOL . Yes Those are the ones you need, they are awesome! I'm on my second set, the first ones lasted 19,000 miles!!!!!! I love them!

    You had a lot meat on the pads? Any reason why you replace the pads?

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the brake pads are still brand new, i wanted to upgrade to better brake pads that's all. I've used EBC brakes in the past and i really like their performance.

      @@ontherebel11 well that makes sense. I’m sure you feel the difference now…..

      @@my2wheels I have to break them in before I can test them properly, I'll definitely do an update when they are good to go. 👍

      @@georgesienny7003 www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/ebc-fa496hh-double-h-sintered-rear-brake-pads?sku_id=1221078 these are the ones I got. They are breaking in nicely, they definitely have better bite to them and the braking force relative to the amount of pressure you apply is linear, so more predictable. I'm sure happy with them so far, wish I could put more miles on them though.... Haven't been able to ride much recently. If I was to quantify the difference, I'd say a 15 - 20% overall improvement over the stock pads. Not much, but an improvement nonetheless. After my very first ride when I bought the bike, I was very disappointed with the rear brakes tbh....

    Just curious, are you using Harborfreight swingarm stand ? If so, how good are they for the 1100 ?

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Din! yes this is the harbor freight stand, it works great! Be mindful that it won't work with the stock exhaust though. Does the job for a fraction of the cost, can't beat that.

      @@dinbosco9658 That's great to hear, congrats my man! BTW, I heard the TBR exhaust in person at the life of Burch meetup, it is the best sounding exhaust for the 1100 on the market, IMO.

    I sure would like to know how much better it feels now.... better bite, I'm sure.
    I noticed this past weekend that if I hit the rear pedal a couple of times, it feels firmer. I wonder if it needs bleeding or if the piston just doesn't move far enough on first hit.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Based on my previous experience with EBC brakes, they are awesome! instant bite! right now i still have to bed them in, that will take a while before i can push them, about 200 miles of bedding in. I'll definitely do an update regarding the performance. I will also upgrade the front brake pads as well as soon as i can figure out which ones will work, the ones i got unfortunately didn't work...

    Do you think you could do an update on how much you like the bar risers you put on? I’m curious as to how much more comfortable you are. We are the same height and I plan to put those risers on now that I know you can still get the Batwing on. Always enjoy your informative videos.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John! Thank you for your kind words brother! Let me put it this way, had I not added the risers, I don't think I would have been able to keep the bike as the pain and discomfort was unbearable for me. I love the rebel and was prepared to do whatever I could to make it work for me. I was so passionate about it that I decided to do an installation video to help the people that are in the same position as I was, so the TH-cam channel was started because of the risers! I hope that answers your question 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Good Day,
    Maybe you can help me, Last year when I dropped my bike I managed to scratch severely the right step of the bike, mostly underneath. The rear master break cylinder was also scratch. It has not affected the breaks at all, as it looks mostly cosmetic damage. I want to replace it with the step. The question is. Does break fluid go through the master cylinder? Because the only mechanics near by are the dealership's and their charges are rather high. Any information would be help full.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Daniel!!! good to hear from you buddy! I know exactly how you feel, i bent my brake pedal and scratched my step, i bought new parts for to replace them but i haven't had time to tackle it yet. To answer your question, yes the master cylinder plays a vital role in the hydraulic braking system, it is the (pump) that pushes the brake fluid to apply pressure on the brake pads. Did you get a new master cylinder to replace the scratched one? I would like to record the process of changing the step and brake pedal.... hopefully when the weather gets better....

    • @DanielSan-sw9px
      @DanielSan-sw9px 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ontherebel11 yes, I did get the master cylinder, the step, and the pedal. The pedal was easy enough to change, the step should be easy as well. Now the master cylinder I will take to the mechanics. That is something I'm not really comfortable doing.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanielSan-sw9px that is definitely the best choice, brakes are our safety, it's best to have the dealership take care of that. Smart choice Daniel! 👍

    WOW! Honda did an F-up on the rear caliper design where they got the bleeder and line inlet backwards. The line in should be where the bleeder is and visa versa so that the bleeder is at the highest point relative to the line in. Bad Honda! BAAAAAAD! lol. 🤔😑😔
