- I recently bought the new Klipsch SPL-150 and swapped the Klipsch SPL-120 subwoofer for it and it made a huge difference. Enjoy the video:)

When I oroiginally bought my Klipsch speakers (4 x RF-7III, 2 x RP502s, 1 x RC-64III & R-115SW), I didn't know that a new subwoofer (SPL-150) was two weeks from introduction, so I later bought an SPL-150. I can have a 7.2 system, or hold the SPL-150 as a spare (in the event of amplifier problems with the R-115SW). But dig this: Klipsch is working on a even bigger subwoofer, meant to complete with SVS. It's working name (while in develpoment) is "The Beast"
Nice dude nice. Decades ago I had a pair of Ultralinear 15's for the main speakers to my set up. This is right when powered subs for the house was a new thing. I couldnt afford one. But put on some Eazy-E and those 15's would set off my neighbors car alarm. He would get so pissed! ahh.. the good ol days...
Getting a second spl 150 sub will solve the dead spot bass problem. 2 subs of the same brand and modell is always better than a single one.

Update one of them the amp went bad 😅 is out of warranty since the amp only has 2 yrs of warranty 5 on the speaker but klipsch still approved the warranty and they are sending a new amp ... is back ordered tho unti may
Ya a second sub placed anywhere on the opposite side of the room will will completely take care of any dead spots. This guy is running tower speakers for his surrounds just like me. So cool :)
Nicely demonstrated. Right now crazy deal is going on with Klipsch on these. I wish I didn’t already own RP series else would have gone for it. I have RP-250 F along with dual r-112SW

I wanted to ask, despite the small room you have, which is basically just a little bit bigger than mine, i am planning to purchase Klipsch rp8000F instead and im worried that their tweeters are gonna break my ears. What are your thoughts?
@@pitchyydneu8826 personally I really favor these polk s60s over the rp8000s that I've heard at a store. If u want fair pricing and pure fidelity these s60s will not disappoint and will impress you when powered properly. You will need power for them preferably around 150rms+ for each tower or you'll notice itll struggle with mid and low bass tones. I'm pushing them with 200rms and it performs like no other its amazing

I ordered a open box one but before it got to the house I returned it. Over kill for my room so i ordered the 12.
It's the Best Deal now at $599 on Amazon. But if you spending $1,200 the REL Predator 15" or Definitive Technology DN15 with 3XR or 3 Woofers & HSU 15" the King, All are $1200 and high end shake the neighbor's house not just your house at real high quality 20HZ. It's like you want the Car's Jr $8 Burger or the $20 Steakhouse Burger..... For a house party or playing Rap & Rock music just get the Klipsch SPL 15

Its a bigass nice looking sub! But in reality 400w rms is nothing for a 15 inch sub. It should've been atleast 800rms in my opinion. Nice system though! 👌🏼👍🏼
I dont think you understand how subwoofers work,
The klipsch home cinema subwoofer uses a lower wattage because the subwoofers resistance is high, about 6 or 8 ohms. If you want higher wattage then your gonna have to decrease the resistance which in turn lowers the low frequency output and distorts the bass. Higher resistance is better for home subs because it gives a smooth, clear and deep bass tone to it. Unless you want something to go horribly wrong, 6 or 8 ohm, 400watt rms is perfect for a 15inch subwoofer. Any higher then you need to lower resistance!

where are you located? I haven't seen those models in the USA???
FAST & LOUD I’m sure you found out by now, but if not, this model just replaced R-115SW last fall. Now it has a class D amplifier and a more distressed black ash finish, otherwise pretty much the same.
perhaps you could try procella audio v21 (dual 21 inch subs in a box )
Have you tried putting the sub where your null is? Also, have you considered some sort of bass isolation pad for the sub?

Yeah, your 15" woofer suits your towers. But for most people, an 80 LBS woofer is unmanageable (even though most people would like to have it because it goes as low as 18 Hz, sub-20 Hz). Does it come with wheels? I'm considering SPL-120 but even that is 50 LBS and it goes as low as 24 Hz.
By the way, that's a fearless, badass cat!! Or maybe your cat is already deaf from all that earth shattering bass?

The fan would drive me nuts and it isn't even necessary. Yamaha didn't put in a fan for normal cooling for a reason. Those Polks aren't even hard to drive at 88/90 db sensitivity. The vibration of the fans might even cause damage and/or poorer sound.

I'm using my headphones and it sounds like your tweeters is a lot louder then your subwoofer so I think you should use different tweeters

Is that what the subwoofer is suppose to be doing or is the subwoofer suppose to be doing mare then that most likely the subwoofer is suppose to be doing more then that but you don’t know that cuz you are don’t know any better and another question is the Polk tweeters suppose to be doing that I can answer that question no the Polk tweeters is not suppose to be going that

Should run dual subs, evens out the frequency nulls in your room. So when you stand in the corner or move around the room, you will have even bass thruout (3 or 4 subs will even it out even more but cost and placement issues rear their ugly head Lol!).
Also, if you can get feet isolators, that will stop or help stop vibration from traveling thru your floor and vibrating all your walls thruout the house. You get just as much base, but vibration from objects won't intrude on the sound as much. Things will still vibrate but not because the floor is transferring it to all points in the house.
