    Newby on a bari. I prefer the intermediate alto version. (without the grace notes) The low B is no problem, I just try to keep those notes above the staff to a minimum. (for now)
    Thank you for another super video!

      Sure, I use Selmer Super Action Series II Sax, SR Tech L85 Mouthpiece, Vandoren Java Red Strength 2.5 reeds with a Rovner ligature.

    Not going to lie, I'm really thinking of cancelling my lessons and getting the membership for Online Sax Academy. I thought for sure the membership was going to be expensive. When I saw the price I was like 😲. I wish I had known about these online classes a little earlier. Although having a teacher one-on-one has been cool too. But from a fun and financial standpoint I like this better. My teacher is great but doesn't make it fun or interesting.

    Interesting, but I’m afraid I don’t get it. Playing the beginner or advanced version hasn’t, to me, anything to with improvisation - that’s the same as learning another song. Improvisation is made there and then. Learning some phrases over a song, is not improvisation.

    • @OnlineSaxAcademy

      Hi! This is a transcription (and transposition for beginner version) of the original solo from the track. This isn’t a direct improvisation lesson, but you can learn a lot by studying the solos of others, taking ideas and concepts from them and applying it to your own solos. But for a lot of people, they just enjoy playing along with the original record. Learning to improvise is like learning to speak a new language, learning phrases, vocabulary ect is a very similar process when you learn from transcribing. Think of improvising like having a conversation, it’s not scripted, but you’re still speaking a language. I hope that helps.

      @@OnlineSaxAcademy Thank for your reply. Help to be better to improvise? Not really. But playing along these solo is fun.

      @OnlineSaxAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It will help you to improvise better if you study the transcription. If you’ve never done this before that’s ok, I would strongly recommend it. It’s not the only thing you should do of course, but it is a key part of learning how to improvise.
