    Very good video and explanations for series and/or parallel connections. I'm new to solar and when people just jump into it , it can be costly and most confusing. There's nowhere really to go or to call to get help, so TH-cam is where I go but it takes forever to find the video demo that answers my exact issue(s). This is one of the best videos on the 'tube I've seen so far. Good teacher, too. But one thing, check your audio levels before uploading to youTube. Using the camera mic or the phone mic just doesn't do the best job. Use an external mic or a wireless mic for better quality sound. Nonetheless, good video, bro. I'm a fan.

    Wait a second... Wire four in series and you have an output of 91.2 volts and 5.3amps. So if you wired another set of four in series, and then both sets were wired in paralell to the battery, wouldnt you have 91.2 volts and 10.6amps? Or am i missing something. Sounds like that would be within the limits on the delta max, right?

    • @jddragonfly8461
      @jddragonfly8461 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Yes. you could wire up to 4 in a series and another 4 in a series then run each set parallel and it would be 91.2 v and 11.56 amps. That would be the limit of the Delta Max

    Out of doing series vs parralel wiring, will the performance and outcome of energy gains be the same ? Or not? I mean... it should be the same. Energy X + Energy X = 2x. But is there a performance or efficiency difference in how it feels or ' which seems to work better'?

    This is much appreciated. I have a bluetti ac200 max that can stand VOC 145 and 15 amps.
    If I have 4 solar panels that are 38 vocs each and 8.8 amps each, im better off just doing 3 in series right? Because if I do them in parallel its still over the allowable current for my generator it seems. And if I do all 4 in series its over the voc.
    3 in series seems to be the middle ground even though its over the amperage, would that be okay?

    • @offgridstores
      @offgridstores  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn’t matter as long as you are in the allowed input voltage of the controller. It’s the controllers job to then step the voltage down to one that is low enough to charge your battery bank

    Hi thank you for your helpful videos.
    I have a question about my solar system. I had 12v solar system with 10-180 watts panels and 2 lead acid batteries 12v/200amp connected parallel. I have them about 5 years and last month I bought 2 lithium batteries 230 amp each. When I connected new batteries, my inverter would turn on and off automatically every few minutes when there is less or no load connected to the system. I have 5000 watts Giandel inverter. I thought my inverter had a problem so I bought another inverter. This time I bought a 24v 5000 watt inverter and switched my solar panels to series. And I still have the same problem.
    I searched online but could not find any helpful information. Will you please help me out with this issue?
    Thank you so much.

      @@offgridstores yes, all panels come with diodes now a days, but these diodes are bypass diodes, they aren't blocking diodes. you still have to put blocking diodes on your own. otherwise the battery will put some current on the panels at night, you're going to have leakage of energy

    • @offgridstores

      The best way to go about it in my opinion is 2 strings of 4 panels in series. And then put those 2 strings in parallel.

    If the Delta Max can take 800 watts,do you put 2 sets of 4 ( 100 watt) panels in series then add those 2 sets together in parallel?
    Also what do you recommend for use in attaching these to a shed roof?

    • @TheNoobstalker
      @TheNoobstalker ปีที่แล้ว

      Watt is not voltage watt= Amps * Volts so the 100 volts allowed in is different than 800 watts.

      The ECOFLOW 100 watt panels are
      18 (17+) volts and 6 (5.9) amps each
      The Delta Max maximum input is 800 watt ,100 volts and 13 amps
      So I was correct about 2 sets of 4 panels in series then connecting them parallel.
      However, I also have another smaller generator whose maximum input is
      500 watts,60 volts and 15 amps.
      I am wondering if it would be a problem to combine (parallel) a set of (2)100 watt solar panels( 36 volts/6amps)that are in series to a set of (4) 100 watt solar panels in series ( 72 volts /6 amps)
