playing a champ to learn how they work to figure out how to counter them? UNHEARD OF.
I can agree to an extent.
This assassin is the only champion with inherently 3 slows. No other champions has anymore than 2 slows except for Ekko.
He also has a remarkable stun duration with it's width and cast range (although, yes, it can be countered by the fact that it's delayed by 3 seconds, and yes, everything he does has some sort of delay too).
Ekko's poor design comes into how overloaded his kit is, even though there are some draw backs to his abilities, the main one being the delay naturally.
there are draw backs though. if you don't use them to your advantage, you kinda deserve to get beat up. avoid his q or at least the second part of it. fall back whenever he uses his w. dont stand on top of the ghost. look at that 3 abilities of his kit made mostly useless through basic evasive maneuvers.

Yes this video is a reupload! Sub boxes were a bit broken yesterday and it wasn't sending out to a lot of people, so I decided to reupload it this morning so that more people could get the video shown to them.
You liar, you reuploaded this with a different thumbnail because you figured the reason so many people said they got a deja vu in the comments is because you were too lazy to make a new thumbnail so you used one that is nearly identical to another video. GG WP
+Altiverse And because the thumbnail looks like Project: Ekko I'm guessing. With the new Project: skins recently revealed I bet this video will get tons of hits because at first glance it looks like Ekko's is revealed in this.

don't be think of me wrong i like League of Legends and i loved the champion design's and lore
short answer, because why not? If a mechanic is cool, fits the theme and works well then sure.
you see an amazing champ consept in another game. you use that concept as a base to create a new champion. You can try to imagine where they usually get their consepts from. There is a lot of champions based on some mythology for one thing. i imagine others got their consept from books and obviusly other games. There are very few original champions without an idea pulled out from some other place
Dota has many abilities which have no equivalent in league of legends. Why not to use one in champion. (riot anyways makes unique characters so there is no risk of copyright)
Aradea Jelang btw don't worry about triggering people... nowadays being polarized about one game being better than the other (or who copied who) is more of a joke at this point... although its kinda understandable since different people have different tastes, or simply exposed to one game first before the other.
do not worry, the ability to control the entire map for 8 seconds will be in Zilean rework
I just have to mention 1 thing about weaver's ult.
Not that it basicly counters all burst damage in existence, but if you buyback yourself within the 5 seconds you can ult and teleport back to the fight.

The assasins that were being played top were only working because of the kit and if they met real big tanks they could not even scratch them they worked in the meta only because top was dominated with carry picks instead of big beefy champions.
one of the best designed champions by riot..
this is one of the few champions that has a lot of counter play but it also fun to play, rewarding for skill, and is straight up balanced
they should do more champions like this imo

The fact that ekko got 3 auto attack animations that kind of suck, and another 4 epic that only work if the passive is on cooldown on his target...

When Ekko was about to go to the game i thought that his ult will rewind time in the game for 5 seconds back.... lul
maybe they should change ekko ultimate into a more short cool down and whenever he uses it he throws a small skill shot and rewind, then he does this three times, this skill shot does no damage but it will charge when you hit them three times, dealing extra burst damage
