  • So many wooden clock movements in the past have suffered from poor quality repairs. With proper repair knowledge, many discarded wood movements that were thought to be beyond repair, can now be restored. Hopefully, future repairs will be more historically accurate and be acceptably completed with proper restoration techniques.
Broken wooden wheels, wheel teeth, pinion leaves, movement plates, retainers, pivots, levers, complete time and strike systems can be repaired and restored. With this repair knowledge, many of these wooden works restorations can be accomplished. Most of these clock movements have been in existence for approximately 200 years. These should continue to provide enjoyment and service for at least that much longer with proper restoration. It can be easy and simple. This is a short introduction version of the long detailed explanation in the complete full length 4+ hour clock repair course “Wooden Works Movement Repair”. There are many more lessons and tips discussed in the full length course.

This movement is seemingly exactly what I am trying to repair. Do you know which Boardman & Wells model this is?

I recently fell in love with a grandfather clock. While it has been transitioned to battery, they saved the wooden movement in case anyone can ever put it back together. Do you think this is something that I could attempt after taking your courses?

The wooden movement course is an intermediate level course. If you have never worked with clocks, it is best to start with the course titled "Clock Repair 1 and 2" On DVD here at www.ticktockpro.com/ANTIQUE-CLOCK-REPAIR-COURSE.htm The online version is here: online.ticktockproductions.com/
