+NatKat93 [It's amazing what going vegan can do!]
Her improved health and weight loss is more likely due to cessation of smoking, getting off adderall, limiting drinking (most likely sugary "girly" drinks that make girls fat), and eating healthy real food.
She probably could have eaten some animal based food and achieved the same results.

You know what i love the most about you is that you are so natural, you don't hide who you really are, you come across as a very genuine person....sometimes raw kristina puts on weight but swears she does nothing wrong, but you admit the reality of how gaining health should be, and your truthful and honest and really natural not fake and glammed up. thank you you are an inspiration.

Hannah, I am a 62 year old grandma, and I started a low fat plant based diet last Dec. I cannot tell you how much better I am, and full of energy. I had a really really bad arthritic neck that ruined my life. I couldn't do anything and I was in pain all the time. Doctors gave me lots of drugs and painful tests. Well, no more! Now I am virtually pain free!! I feel great. I just bought a recumbent trike and now I am riding around the neighborhood. It is so very fun. I also walk and jog. My life has changed a lot, I love your videos, and I am going to check out your website and recipes. Thanks for your videos, so inspiring and full of info. I think we are never too old to change, improve our health, and have fun! The one strange thing is that the people around me have seen the great improvements in me, and weight loss, but they have no interest in improving their diets at all. I can only show by example.

Hi Hannah, I just subscribed to you. I am a sixty-one year old woman from Australia and have struggled with my weight my entire life. I was astonished to see what you did. A few years ago I lost 30 kilos (2.2 lbs = 1 kilo) on a low carb diet and pilates, power walking six days a week, then I had a knee replacement and am now back to what I was, 90 kilos ;-( In my lifetime I have lost my entire body weight, twice. At ten, I halved my weight, after my second child I lost 120 lbs and became anorexic and kept it off for 20 years until I had my thyroid irradited and put on 25 kilos in six months. I won't go on. I am so tired of it all but seeing what you did was amazing to me, dieting to me is struggle and deprivation and pain, and joy and elation when I loose weight but eventually it all goes back on. My body seems to want to be 90 kilos no matter how many times I slim down. To think I existed on 60 grams of carb a day and to see the amount you ate, i would not eat that in a week what you ate in one day - yet you are slim and I am fat - again. Good Luck Hannah, you are an inspiration, have a really wonderful life. Judith from Oz. xo

WOW what a difference you have made with your weight loss Hannah....it is so awesome you are brave enough to show us and inspire all of us with your journey. I put my "before" pic as my desktop wallpaper so that I am forced to look at it daily, sometimes I just stare at it thinking, how did I not know I was so huge, I knew I was miserable but did not realize how miserable until I lost the weight. I don't ever wanna get back to that state again and having that pic present daily reminds me of how miserable and unhealthy I truly was. Thank you so very much for all you do for us and sharing your life and giving all of us inspiration!! :)

So inspiring Hannah! I needed this Thanks you! I'm 35 and feel like it's taking forever for the weight to fall off. I'm a mother of 3 and I have a hard time finding inspiration on here as most people are 10yrs younger without kids! At that time in my life I wasn't even eating healthy and I was a good weight. I ate meat, nasty fast foods and no excercise! Now I'm vegan and ride a bike average 2miles a day but the 50lbs of overweight I gained are taking forever to fall off, frustrating! Your videos give me hope and keep me going. Thank You so much for all the hard work you do!!! Btw- loved the background music in this video! Gave me a nice uplifted happy feeling. 😊

I envision my self as the thin girl I was at 18. And it hurts so bad to see myself on film or in pics. My vision is immediately shattered. I weighed 118 lb then. Now, at 30, (I've had 3 kids since then) I weigh 191. I feel awful all the time. Tired and body pain. I've developed plantar fasciitis... I'm currently breastfeeding my 3rd who is 8 months old. I have been vegan for 4 months now and have felt much better since fully transitioning. I'm proud of myself for not gaining any more weight. I've been at 191 since 6 weeks postpartum. Your channel is such an inspiration to me Hannah! I'm now transitioning to more whole foods, less oil and salt and cutting out the majority of vegan junk and meat subs. I can do it! Thanks for everything you do! ❤

I had food allergies but my doctors could not find any allergies. I got tested for allergies but the test all came back negative for allergies. My cholesterol and sugar where very high, i was diagnosed with H pilorid after suffering with acid reflux for many years, not able to sleep with burning sensation on my stomach every night. I read the book you recommended, the Strach solution. I started to follow the recipes on the book. To my surprise I have had allergies to dairy products for the past 15 years. I use to itch everywhere with red blotches all over my body but my doctors could not give me a diagnosis. Also I was diagnosed with mild Alopecia and after I stopped eating meat my hair stopped falling out, my stomach is not burning anymore. The diary products where causing reflux. My scalp does not hurt anymore. Thanks for your inspiring videos and your book recomendation. I am a very busy working mom and I really didn't have time for all that drama.

Seems kinda rude to show up at your friends house that made all kinds of food fitting to your diet and then not really have anything and go home just because you didnt want to bike in the dark? Different cultures I guess. If someone made a meal like that for me I would not blow it off like that. Just seemed strange to me :)

Becca if someone is just stopping by to say 'hi'.. I wouldn't see why the host went out of her way to cook meals geared to her diet (oil free). She even indicated in her video she hoped there would be oil free food. Its rude to up and leave when someone has slaved over a kitchen to accomodate your dietary needs.

It seemed so hard to stop eating and drinking the wrong things and now, HCLF/no sos seems easy. I think it's because I am willing to put starch at the center of my meal and add vegis and some fruit. When I think of it that way, I'm always satisfied, and as you say, stop when full and go back for more later if I get hungry. I do come from eating compulsively so I always thought I could never detect when I was full but, have practiced it and have got better at it. Funny thing is that If I'm not hungry in the evening and I write down what I've eaten, it's not too much. It's a habit to think that if I'm not hungry, I must have eaten too much. It's a funny place to be in but I'll take it. Progess, not perfection. Thank you for sharing your experience and being willing to be so transparent. It is so important to people like me.

Ever since I watched your Ayahuasca video I have been binging your channel. I have been a subscriber for a while already, but something about that video made you more 'real'. I have been struggling with severe depression, disassociation, derealization and depersonalization- all kind of symptoms of eachother as well as their own disorders. When you talked about feeling as if yo could not love, I felt that. I used to be so full of love and passion and then things happen that stripped me of it, and it has been years since i felt mostly anything, since i felt rooted in this world. I became an alcoholic, my life was a total mess. when you said it felt like your soul was taken and had been given back to you during your trip, I started crying, when you said that it had run away from you because you had been hurt so much. And to see that you came out the other side with such a fullness in your hear,t, was beautiful, and inspiring, and it is crazy that one of the first people I have felt was real and one of the first experiences that made me feel like i woke up out of my disorders for a second was through a TH-cam video online, is kind of crazy. But so is life, and doing Ayahuasca. What else could I have expected? Love you Hannah, thank you

Thank you. I was sick and all I had in the home was potatoes and I remembered Penn Jillete so I dropped 8lbs fast but now doing veggies brown rice -- a little bit of vegan butter not losing weight but I had severe insomnia last night (part of PTS) so be patient....so tired.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this video. I have lost almost 30 pounds and I seem to have just gotten "stuck" with weight loss. However I know that all my clothes are just hanging off me, and continue to feel bigger. I have upped my cardio and lifting at the gym. I see and feel more muscle but it's discouraging to have the scale not change. I'm just going to trust the process and continue my HCLF eating. Just focusing on being healthy and happy is where it's at.

Hannah, you are so inspiring. I can somewhat relate to your journey. Ive never been overweight, I've come from a severely anorexic background (11 years and counting), but can relate SO much to when you said you struggled with getting of cigarettes and adderall. Im curious....what was it that made you finally "stop being inconsistent" so to speak and make that final push into being healthy/vegan? x

Such a huge difference, completely different person! I know what you mean about having a sort of distorted image of yourself. I have experienced that myself, on one hand when I was 260 lbs I knew I was obese.. but it was such a shock to see myself in a photo. Video is even more powerful!

Honestly Hannah, as someone who is going through some really toughthings to deal with in life your videos are so inspiring. Being 22 years old going through a breakup and also deciding to make the lifestyle change to veganism. It has been so hard. But coming to your channel everyday gives me the strength to get through the day. I was honestly shocked when I figured out that you're about 27-29 years old. You look awesome, your energy is awesome. You genuinely seem to be such a happier person. Anyways I am not trying to rant. But for all the haters you have I hope you remember that you have people out there that you are genuinely helping.

Hannah, the white flour pasta and white rice can cause false hunger, you might want to stick with the 100% whole grains only and use less wheat or zero gluten in general...I find even whole spelt or kamut pasta makes me crave more food, so am using up my stash of gluten grains and switching to gluten free whole grain pastas like brown rice, in the near future. Corn tortillas have the same effect but not as bad. Any food that makes you crave more food is not agreeing with your system.

This brings me to tears 😭. I Vlog and a week ago I went to edit a video where I was going to make bread and I saw what my body looks like and I couldn't do it. I eat vegan but not healthy. I YoYo diet and have no patience :(. Thank you for helping me realize it takes time. I haven't picked up the camera in over a week and feel so defeated. Yes, I just had my 5th baby a year ago (10.11 pound babies!!) but I need to get healthy for my kids. I'm 157lbs and should be around 130 to be healthy and comfortable

I've been struggling with this. I just tried out the starch solution for 10 days. the first week I lost 2.5 lbs. and now it is just kinda sitting there. I'm so used to diets where you lose a ton of weight fast. but I keep telling myself those aren't sustainable and that even 5-10lbs a month is totally acceptable. Super hard to get out of that mindset, tho.

Yes, as a HCLF vegan- but restricted calories and over exercised. I was going on vacation and wanted a temporary quick fix- obviously went a little crazy though. So please don't do that, take it one day at a time. You could even try a temporary paleo vegan diet and see how you feel, but I know some people will yell at me for saying that.

    • @brandinshaeffer8970
      @brandinshaeffer8970 8 ปีที่แล้ว

+laurawashere i had the same experience. lost about 20 lbs very fast when i first started hclfv, then gained it back. But, I wasn't being consistent when we went out to eat, and I definitely went on yo-yo calorie restricting binges. I've recently just forgot about losing weight and just trying to be healthy and very consistent. I'm literally almost to my goal weight now, and can wear clothes I almost gave away b/c I thought I'd never fit in them again LOL ;)

Thanks for the food ideas. Dog guardians: in case you did not know (this might save millions of dogs) you can buy Top Paw dog pee pads (there are a number of similar companies), place them on top of linoleum kitchen flooring or inside of a shallow plastic box ( the kind of box that you can slide under a bed, about...maybe....16 inches by ....22 inches, about five inches high). Put the box with one pad per box (about three) next to your bed. Your dog or dogs will pee on the pads after they drink water. The dogs are calmer than 'holding it' until you take them out for a dog walk. Unfortunately, you probably need to get up immediately, or as soon as possible, to put the used pad into the trash. Often, they will let you go into a deep sleep and not wake you up after they pee. But if you are awake, they will let you know that they would prefer to have that used pee pad put in the trash. Try to leave a window or two open an inch or two for cross ventilation. Human sense of smell is much weaker than dog sense of smell. Maybe ten times weaker. Top Paw pee pads can be bought at Petsmart stores. A dog walker told me that the only item he buys at Walmart are pee pads for elderly humans (designed to be placed on top of bed sheets), which he buys in bulk for his two small dogs.
