We know that we dont know everything, so we reached out to lightning experts across the country. HONESTY is the best policy and you sir just proved one more reason why people should choose PARKER PERFORMANCE for modifications. Great Vid.
We really try to ensure that we're constantly being surrounded by guys who are the best at what they do - because that's going to help us become the best at what we want to do! And we don't need to know everything - just have to be humble enough to find the people who do, and ask for their help!
As a kenne bell 2.6 owner I would definitely try a Whipple but honestly, after 3 lightnings in 20 years, the Eatons drive the best and are bulletproof. The kenne bell is set up more for drag racing. The Eaton is 10x nicer to drive daily. All that high horsepower numbers advertized are not on pump gas anyway. Secondly the kenne bell snaps on power like a light switch while the Eatons add power gradually. With a lightning on a wet curvy road a man doesn't need sudden 10lbs boost with part throttle. Very poor power modulation with the kenne bell. They have an alternative bypass valve that has different power delivery yet comes on too suddenly with small throttle inputs. Then, there is this issue of overheating.
No, but 01-04 are more desirable because of the bump up in HP along with better drivetrain. 03-04 are most desirable because of improvements such as the 8 threaded spark plug holes

More of this style format. Great job on the edits, presentation, camera work!
If there’s something these guys have earned is my wholehearted trust.
Boost bypass valve immediately came to mind when he mentioned failed blowers.
Do you mean if the bypass valve does not function properly?
Thanks
after 2 failed KB blowers I think I would have went with a Whipple by far best blower on the market.

Wait you can't run a KB with cams?
Are 2000 ford lightings bad ?
