@@linkmcintosh2244 hell yeah man! I used to put tomatoes in, but I feel like kind of gives it a metallic taste for some reason maybe it’s just a metal plate in my head lol 😂 jk
@@firsttimefeasts great show. Love the cutie you’ve got as your taste tester. Cutest dimples ever and great smile. Just wondering what the sodium content of the chili is with the added salt, soup, spice packets and beans. Gotta be off the charts. I use beef broth for stew. I’ll have to try it for chili.
@newishes2707 ahh don’t tell him that lol 😂 it’ll go to his head lol with the amount of meat in there it dosnt come off overly salty. The sodium probably is on the higher side, you can scale that down as needed. The flavor is there for sure!!! Thanks for watching!! 🙌
Well, if you’re in Nebraska, the common thing out here is cinnamon rolls I personally don’t understand it. I’m a big cornbread person with my chili or sourdough bread bowl
@@firsttimefeasts oh cornbread sounds fantastic with that. Have a recipe? Bread bowl sounds interesting as well but maybe a little much with how thick that chili is.

lol 😂 if you like sweet chili, this one might not be it for you. It’s very savory. I do also like sweet chili. I have one that I call my kitchen sink chili. It has like 30 different things in it but it’s really damn good.

@@firsttimefeasts one thing that would be a big improvement and easy to do is switch out a pound of that ground beef with some stew meat. Adding those chunks is a real game changer.
@@firsttimefeasts well, you nailed basic chili. The fun thing about chili is I don't think I've ever made it the same way twice. You can always change out different types of chilis and meats. I tend to use bison from a nearby farm or venison.
@FlexibleToast yeah man! I had a guy request some sweet chili. I’ll do one of those videos here pretty soon either way I appreciate you watching. Thanks for the feedback. 🤘
Looks good but if I was going to take the time to film making chili I would at least use fresh onions and garlic and less walmart brand powders. Fresh peppers and tomatoes would make it a lot better, too. I would recommend heating up your spices with butter, water, and onions separately in a sauce pan from the browning beef. That way, you can drain the water off the beef and properly brown it to get a better texture. Then add your spice mix to the beef after it's browned. Once it's all simmering together, add some water and let it cook down at a low simmer for 3-4 hours. Thank me later
Just saying think you're missing the point here. It is about ppl that don't cook a whole lot making things fast that still taste good. Yes chili is a longer cook but none of us are trying to win your chili cook off Scott Tenorman.
@@blaketankersley2449 sounds like it would taste pretty good but a lot more involved. Did you use this for a chili competition or whatever they call it?
This chili looks amazing!!!!
It’s pretty tasty! Hope you like spicy food!
Awesome man. I like Rotelle in mine just because of the spice, but you've hit the nail on the head here.

I’m not a big chili person but this looks like something I’d try. What’s something to eat with this? Bread of some sort I’m guessing
