@@karstmage No? Idk why everyone assumes it’s female but according to the web the light vocals are performed by David Baker. I always thought it was a light male voice but idk, maybe other people assume it’s female because of the contrast to the rest of the vocals
So fun fact: Devil May Cry actually pioneered the Hack and Slash/Character Action genre. Back in 2001, when people saw the original trailer and watched Dante launch a demon with his sword and then shoot it with his guns, people freaked out. It's crazy to think about how for the games have come since then. The HR/HM arranges have tons of different arrangements of different songs throughout the series. They're super fun and glad you gave this version of Devils Never Cry a listen. And yeah, the song is just a banger regardless of it being a video game track. Also, Devils Never Cry is from Devil May Cry 3 and is the main theme of the game. Devil May Cry games are known for prioritizing gameplay above all else, considering the nature of their games. 5 was actually the first time they put more emphasis on the story funny enough. And don't worry, the mentality the director has literally said he goes into when making these games is "what do teenage boys like?" Lol 🤣 Funny, since these games have a pretty diverse audience nowadays. Glad you had fun with DMC5! That game, and the series really, means a lot to me personally so I'm always glad to hear new people getting into it. 😁🤘
Tetsuya Shibata. Remember that guy when it comes to DMC and Capcom. You’ve seen stuff with his name on it too. There’s plenty of other people involved too, but he also worked on this album.
"The Devil May Cry HR / HM Arrange (デビル メイ クライ HR/HMアレンジ) is an album released by Capcom in 2015, it features 12 songs from Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4, however, all songs are rearrangements/remixes of their original versions."
Only gripe I have with this version of the song is that the demonic and angelic vocals are one verse behind the other than the original. Makes my OCD activate something fierce.
Amazing Vid as always! And a couple of stuff to add, in DMC 5 there is dlc that adds songs from previous games, including “Devils Never Cry” and like Bury the Light it DOES ramp up as you play better. I fuckin’ love it. It’s also Dante’s theme from DMC 3, which is fan-fuckin-tastic. And I cannot recommend that game enough.
Thanks to an old lyric video I watched long ago, I not only like this version of Devils Never Cry alot, but I have since associated this version with Vergil as much as I do with Bury the Light.
The HR/HM remixes of DMC4: Shall Never Surrender, DMC1: EVA's Theme, DMC2: Heads Or Tails are also bangers. The anime's OP, Future in my Hands and Despair are also notable, but I think the copyright is iffy with these. Some guy named Bentley Jones made a pretty sick cover of Shall Never Surrender that Capcom let him release (or something) but he couldn't put it on Spotify.
You definitely gotta check out more dmc hr/hm songs. Shall never surrender, shoot the works and suffer are my other favorites of the hr/hm arrangements
For me me original song is top 1, but this.. this to actually cool. You need someday try to play devil may cry 3, i think you very like it)) Oh deam i just realized, you need listen Shall never surrender from DMC 4, thanks for reaction 🤘
Can anyone confirm who the lead guitarist is? My only guess is Masahiro Aoki since he's worked with capcom for a second, but it doesn't really sound like him.
@@KaNoMikoProductions I disagree, that "eye can see" scream with the double bass pedal drumming in this version is great imo. The only thing I didn't like about this version is the guitar solos, they're pretty generic.
there's a reason your comment is at the bottom, cuz its your opinion, and while having opinions isnt bad, that doesn't change the fact that yours is a terrible one -The startup with the guitar solo is amazing, in fact all the guitar solos in this one were awesome -The vocals DO match, very well at that, if you think his voice seems weird then you just dont know what good metal music, as the other guy said, the eye can see part was exceptionally well done the second part buildup was good as well, and so was his singing,
OG DMC3 version had soft male vocals, but with organ.
Gonna take a guess and say that you meant female lol

@trecstan Holy shit, I didn't know. Yeah, it's probably the contrast, I've always just assumed it was a woman since I was like 12.
@@karstmage I'm gonna be honest...I dunno how you hear that to begin with
@karst7575 The DMC3 version had a soprano choir in the intro and outro of the song, so maybe that's contributed to your confusion.

Is this the version they used in dmc 5 or was that another remix?

The original DMC has the best soundtrack easy.

i never heard the original, but i recognized the theme as they use an instrumental version in project x zone
Most badass video game song IMO
reagir Legend of Legaia 2 Duel Saga Main Menu
There is a more metal version more heavier that one
Which version would that be?

I don't think it sounded terrible at all. First time hearing this version, and while I prefer the original I appreciate this one too.
How?
