Painting a flock of birds - Technique of the week 5 - with artist Tim Gagnon

The brush I use is a no 0 rigger or script liner. You can find it as part of my set on www.timgagnon.com
I used a 75/25 mix of linseed oil and OMS to thin the paint down for oil, and used water to thin the paint down for acrylic (sketchbook portion).
Use lighter values to make birds appear further away, and darker ones to make them appear closer. Be sure to use colors that harmonize with your painting rather than using black.

Thank you sir. You just helped me 'rescue' a painting I did out on the trail.
