    A few extra notes here;
    there is a 12 frame cooldown for Super Counter input but most of the time it feels irrelevant.
    Super Counters are actually easier in this game compared to Tenkaichi 3 for another reason entirely; every single smash for the most part, has a much clearer visual cue or hitbox than it did in Tenkaichi 2 & 3. This alone makes it significantly easier for you to decipher when you actually have to try to input the Super Counter.
    The timing is still more or less the same or retains the same concept from Tenkaichi 3, it's as the strike lands on you, but it is easier in this game because of 60fps & because of clearer hitboxes.
    Hope this helps everyone to learn. If enough efficient guides are uploaded on this I may not have to do a guide myself.
    Good work on the video, Tymier.

      Is the timing of Super Counters and Vanishing the same? I can hit a Vanish with 95% accuracy but Super counters are more difficult, and I can't understand if I'm hitting it early, or it's due to the frame timing. From your analysis I seem to understand that for Vanishing you want to hit it slightly before getting hit, while for Super Counters just a frame after actually getting hit?

    The vast majority of videos out there are something along the lines of "how to be a GOD at countering" then the video is just them reading the tutorial aloud.

      fr it is so useless online with people''s lag, you'd be better off vanishing. Characters also have different framse fast are easier to counter than slow ones and use different frames. Counter was reliable and easier in the old tenkaichi because it was slower.

      I like your comment and I like what the other guy said. But you should know! Playing an intensive battle can activate your Haki (Flow), that's where you can really start to read your opponent and learn in the middle of the battle!

    • @ZoniZahiRoniZahi
      @ZoniZahiRoniZahi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And basically what I see a lot of players doing is once they take a bit of damage, they start panic attacking you. They lose composure. But honestly, you have so much health! No need to lose your cool! Take a step back and let your opponent come to you in panic because they think they got an advantage 😊

    I have a hypothesis, it may be something close to the P-link in Street Fighter 4 or more broadly a buffer. In this case, the game has an interpretation of your inputs that is favorable to you. When you do forward on 1 frame then attack on the next frame, the game validates froward and attacks on 2 frames and therefore you have twice as many frames to counter.

    I think the reason you hit the super counter more reliably when you hit the direction input then the attack input afterword is because of just how insanely tight and late the window is in the attack animation to actually pull off a super counter.

    • @Infamous159
      @Infamous159 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He hits it more reliably simply because he's good with mouse and keyboard. Input latency is non existent and you can hit every single key at once if you need to.

    The problem with practicing super counter offline is that it’s a totally different timing online because of the connection delays. Wish there was a setting where you could practice with that connection delay offline. That was actually possible in another fighting game way back (think it was Tekken 5:DR or T6).

    I notice that the tutorial says
    Input AS YOURE GETTING HIT.
    It’s literally letting you know you basically have to let them hit you almost to get the input to even work
    That might sound pretty straight forward but the concept implies
    You need to let them finish their move for you to be able to counter it, not before or after, but during their strike animation
