The cartoons and the movies were awesome, and don’t even get me started on the video games and music. I feel sorry for today’s younger generations that they did not get to experience the 1980’s. All they know is a world with social media and smart phones, which is sad. I feel privileged I grew up before those things existed.
This was filmed at the old Capitol Theatre in Passaic. My boyfriend at the time and I were extras in the audience. This was a great time. Very exciting to be a part of the making of this video back in the day.

Because she refused to sell out to certain "agendas" she was shut out even with a huge pile of #1 hits that stayed at the top of the charts. I met her in 2008 and have always kept that as one of my best music memories. I always wish her MUCH MORE success than what she has been given.
What "agenda" are you referring to ? She was signed by Clive Davis, the same man who signed Whitney and Aretha. I always felt the label didn't give Taylor the same promo and push they gave their other artists. I know her third album (Soul Dancing) tanked, maybe that hard something to do with it.

I love, love, love Taylor, but she was always in the backseat while other women were driving and shifting gears. Not a knock, just a reality.
