Tempest cleaning - 4 days only! Great results!

  • Four days after installing the 2 Tempests we decided to clean them. The video was supposed to be just to show how the units clean as many people have asked. However we couldn't believe how much waste these units caught. We were surprised.
    K1 is well known for being very buoyant when first used and takes a while to saturate, when this happens in the Tempest we will see a better agitate from the syphon system.
    I liked how big the bubbles were that came up to agitate the media, when the K Plus is saturated it will work even better!
    Then take into consideration when the media actually matures... This could be something really good.
    Please remember. This is an add-on filter and great for smaller ponds. If you have a skimmer line, or a spare return then these are ideal.
    The EA Tempest is available to pre-order at qualitynishiki...

    Any extra filtration without costing anything to run as it can be linked into the surface skimmer to pond heater has to be a winner. It’s also very neat with a small foot print. I can see them used on pre built ponds along with a UV.

    from what i have read on the literature it says it can be used as a stand alone filter but doesn't specify a recommended size if you were to run it as a stand alone?
    also is there space in the unit to increase the amount of k1 that is supplied (7litre) to 12-14litres as the total volume of the unit is 28litres and with a fluidized bed is usally run with roughly 40%-50% of the volume K1?

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The flow rate gives you the pond size really. So optimum 5000L per hour. So they are saying a maximum of 1000gallons. You can’t add media. Sealed unit
