You definitely have the best Bird stories! Thank you for your research and putting them together for us. Those college kids didn’t know what hit ‘em lol. It’s almost cute that they really thought they gave the greatest team ever assembled the business, haha.
This is why the current era of Basketball just isnt close. They really were out to kill. No handshakes , no hugs just blood in the water and the shark coming.
Just like we will never have another Michael Jordan, we will never have another Larry Bird. No one his size and skill level/IQ/will to win will ever exist again. Im thankful I grew up during his career and was able to watch the man smoke everyone.
8 shots in a row with a terrible back. Anyone who has ever had a back problem knows how hard it is to even stand up let alone run. Bird just said f the pain, this is what it means to be the GOAT.
Not just that, 8 shots while telling your 21 yo talented opponent every move before you do it. Many people keep forgetting that about Larry. Like yes, It's extraordinary to get so hot you score 63 points in a playoff game. But it's another level to tell everybody "I'm gonna score 60 next game" and actually do it. I mean the other team at that point would probably do anything, including loosing the game, just to prevent that from happening. And you don't know if you get hot or not in a single game. It's something other players experience but can't really control. Larry made that happen.
If I were in the BOSTON GARDEN when Larry Bird hit his face on the boards so hard he broke his cheek bone - withdrew to the locker room - finally REGAINED HIS WILL and returned to the floor ..... THE PLACE WAS LIKE A HURRICANE RAN INTO IT .... the sounds were deafening by applause, by play by play and never subsided until the Celtics tracked down the invigorated opponent with shear strength of belief and bad-ass play FINALLY DISPATCHING their now frowning adversary ..... I would have paid a few hundred dollars for a $80.00 ticket gladly !!! Had to be pandemonium !!! [ And I was a Knicks fan back then.] jj
I'm not as emotionally connected to today's players so much. I guess you only have heroes when you're young. Special bunch at a (for me anyway) special time.
IF Lebron James played at that time, he probably would have been good, or great even. Sadly he didn't and he focused on making the NBA as weak as possible and playing along with it, that is why James will never be the GOAT. Could have have played in that era, for sure, could he have brought that old school era back, YES, but he chose not to... sadly. But Larry Bird will always be top dog at his position forever while I'm alive!
The dream team the best team ever assembled. And it should have been better. With the induction of Isaiah thomas. There was never a competitor like bird. I miss you bro.
"Welcome to the parachute club" 🤣🤣🤣 Even Bird's one-liners were GOAT status☘🤌
That NBA would crush today's NBA. No contest.
I'd have to agree with you
Never challenge an assassin.
You damn right.
Even on his last Leg Larry Bird was a force and a nightmare for many players!!! G.O.A.T. AKA LARRY LEGEND!!!

Larry Bird would dominate in today’s league it is built for him.
Great Video & Thank You

I love how they see Larry bird giving them shit as a badge of honour. Real respect 😆👍🏼

WE WISH TO THANK LARRY, THE ONE THEY CALL "LEGEND" FOR ALL THE MEMORIES THY GAVE UPON THE WORLD.
AWSUM.
Mashburn's story killed me. I remember him as a player, didnt say much or media ignored him. But hes hilarious
Just like we will never have another Michael Jordan, we will never have another Larry Bird. No one his size and skill level/IQ/will to win will ever exist again. Im thankful I grew up during his career and was able to watch the man smoke everyone.

One young player dare to talk trash about MJ after he retired, MJ showed up one day in shorts and ready to put this young man in his place.
I'm not a basketball fan. But even to this day an age he's still bringing interest to the game for people like me... Bad mf.
Ah, the good old days....
What a different game it was back then🥊💥
Larry loved his advisories
Larry legend
Thank you for another great video. Love the legends. Love Bird.
I'm really impressed with your videos. Your voice over work and style is awesome.
Prime does it again. Well done PLB
The picture is distorted. If the footage is 4:3 ratio, please don't stretch it out to 16:9.
1:12 This is what "load management" looks like...
Larry played 13 seasons. Today we'd have seen him for 18+
Thankfully today player health is taken seriously.
bird man top 10 no cap
I would pay good money to watch any of the Dream team practices or scrimmages or games
Bird was the Walter White of basketball
God bless Larry bird /magic johnson / Michael Jordan
So awesome
RESPECT

Yep 92 team was the greatest team eva))
Always forget? Mullin was on the DT!
My friend growing up was Chris Mullin’s cousin. I didn’t believe him until I saw the Christmas pictures.😂
💯
I believe they let them win that first. They still believe they Ailon the game. It’s hard to admit something like that.
Youngbloods never understand, they think they do but, they have no clue.
The Fucking Legend
Larry.....that's all I can say.....
hard work
Bobby Hurley ♥
The best of the best..
Did I see Larry was the only player with his hand over his heart during the National Anthem?
I'm not as emotionally connected to today's players so much. I guess you only have heroes when you're young.
Special bunch at a (for me anyway) special time.
Chris Weber..great player and a class act human being
U see a mf kneeling...
Gee. Ya think they'all learn they lesson?!! Ha! Ha! Ha!
😂😂
And some ignorant, clueless, "wise" guys think that the '24 team usa could beat the Dream Team!!!!! Really?!?
Larry is definitely a legend, but I really think MJ is the GOAT.
Jesus loves you, peace

Except they all hated Isaiah.
