Hero ball until they got a game plan. Jordan ran off of picks just like any other shooting guard. Shot clock running down of course it went to Jordan. E cause he was the hero. Rarely did he have the ball until end of shot clock. Too many highlights is all most see. Growing up a laker fan in la I was lucky enough to get the Chicago feed on cable. For those who only see highlights, you just don’t know how good 23 was. I was all about magic in denial about MJ. After a few years watching all bulls games, there was no denying 23s skill and determination. I hated Bird but he was amazing in his own way. The Celtics and lakers had way better teams at that time though. Laker back up center Mychal Thompson and Celtics backup centers Walton and Joe Klein were better than Dave Corzine and Brad Sellers. All Bulls had was Oakley, a rebounder defender. Young Pippen was raw and shot horribly his first few years. So yes, MJ had to be a hero

I was (at one time ) a UCAT at the University of Cincinnati back during the Bob Huggins era. Kenyon always held such a dear place in our hearts when he played here.
There in *no doubt* IMO if Kenyon hadn't broke his leg in the conf. tourney that the Bearcats would've have been the National Champions. I don't believe that I had ever actually felt physically sick like I did....the moment that went down. So there it is, for me....NBA wise. But my all time "personal" fav team .......and it's not even close.....we those Bird/McHale/Parrish etc. teams. They were just fantastic and I knew (even then) and I was correct.....that what I was witnessing....and what I was feeling....I'd never feel that way about another NBA team. Shoottttt - that's why *both of us* are here at this fantastic channel. *lol*
From "one Gregg to *another* Greg" (long distance) THERE IT IS. *BOOM* :o)

larry bird is always my first pick for my all-world team. but bill walton is gracious with his praise to a fault. he played the single most perfect game i've ever witnessed (i was keeping stats, ucla vs. msu, 1973). as far as i know he also had the longest wining streak of anyone in basketball history (148). i think it was technically even more than that, but hell man, who's even close?

Holy shit. Larry Bird was so good, he could win a jump ball against The Dream! That’s insane. That’s like making Zeke throw the series away on that steal and pass to DJ. It’s impossible unless you use the Force.

It’s probably been said all throughout the comments, but this is first-rate professional documentary filmmaking. The structure of the storytelling, the pace and tone of your narration, and the judicious, sparing use of it in deference to the well-edited clips and interviews: it all comes together flawlessly. A masterclass - just like a Larry Bird game. Hitting subscribe.

If today's athletes are so super as you say why are they always injured? Why can't they get through a full season like those guys back in the day?
And as far as athleticism goes "way more athletic now"?? huh?
6'8" Dominique Wilkins in the 80s had a 44 inch vertical leap, 6'6" Jordan had a forty eight inch vertical. 6'10 Shawn Kemp had 41 inch vert, and 6'7" Clyde the Glide Drexler had 43 inch leap!
That's the problem today's athletes aren't natural athletes. They're propped up by technology, nutrition, protein powder, human growth hormone.. et cetera et cetera.

They should just make fighting legal in all sports in the same way it is in hockey. It lets you get over frustrations and move on with the game real quickly. As someone who started playing hockey at 4 and continued at a high level until I had gotten too many concussions to continue, I can tell you that people *don’t get hurt from fights*, they get *hurt by dirty plays*. If players don’t get their frustration out then they’re going to do something dirty in game, thats realistically worse than just hitting the guy in the face. All of my concussions came on dirty plays. Not one, didnt have a penalty called when it occurred. The worst thing that happened when fighting was that my face kinda hurt for a few days and people asked why i had bruises
