I remember seeing Stephen Tobolowsky filmed live in a romantic comedy series pilot set in a science lab setting in the spring of 2001, it was not picked up. I can never remember his name, so guess he really fits the description of a face everybody knows, but never the name.
Mark Kroeker, the Hollywood Div. Police Captain, later would become the head of the Portland, Oregon Police Department in the 90s and 2000s. Kinda funny how that works.
