If you've cooked on the Camp Chef Everest, you'll quickly notice why it is head and shoulders above the others. You list it as 20,000 btu, but that is per burner. So it is actually a 40,000 btu stove! The burners are very easy to precisely control also. It'll bring water to a boil amazingly quickly! Just wanted the audience to know how powerful it was, compared to the others.

Thank you ! This is exactly what I wanted to hear. For that price difference is worth knowing these things. Thanks

Also, you say the 2X has plastic latches, that is incorrect, it has metal latches. The original Everest had the plastic ones.

I been using the Eureka Ignite plus for 6-months now, and I will say it’s the Best camp stove I’ve used in 55 years of camping. Have to disagree with the statement “struggles with the wind”. In 30 - 40 mph winds, any camp stove will. But cooking on the leeward side if my van solves that problem. The simmer control is great! I can cook anything I could on my stovetop at home. After having the convenience of two burners, I’ll never go back to one. This is a well-made unit, and I expect to use the rest of my life.

I have the Coleman and the Eureka. I bought the Eureka because the Coleman (mine at least) has very touchy burner knobs that go from off to full blast with only a fraction of a turn ( literally about a 16th of a turn) and it is very hard to dial in the heat for cooking. For boiling up a giant pot of coffee or heating water for freeze-dried stuff it works great.

The Eureka also has adjustable burners! The Coleman and others stay on full blast only. We use our Eureka on the beach with 20mph+ gust, with no problems. Ive used the Everest and different Coleman’s but I Love the Eureka.

Can this be used inside, on my flat top stove, if electric goes out, or does it have to be used outside?
Which is best for inside? I hate being in the cold lol.

Footage and copy points come straight from the manufacturer's web sites. Even down to JetBoil's "Beastly" 10,000 BTU's. Lame. I'm guessing you haven't even touched these stoves.

*THE STANSPORT OUTFITTERS STOVE IS BY FAR THE BEST WE'VE SEEN, BUT THE BIGGEST CON IS, IT DOESN'T HAVE A HANDLE FOR CARRY OR A CASE--ISN'T THAT ODD WHEN IT REQUIRES YOU TO CARRY IT!!!*

*THE CAMP STOVE, A BIG CON IS THAT IT'S NOT STAINLESS OR A COATED STEEL, BUT ALUMINUM...DENTS VERY EASILY!!* *AND WHO PUTS PLASTIC LATCHES TO LOCK IT UP?!! :-(*

    *THE GENESIS BASECAMP SYSTEM:*
*WE PREFER STAINLESS COOKWARE SYSTEMS, ALUMINUM IS THE WORST KIND OF METAL FOR COOKING FOOD--EVEN IF COATED, AS YOU WELL KNOW AND THE PRICE...THAT'S FOR SURE A KILLER!!* *IT'S FINE FOR THE INEXPERIENCED CAMPERS, BUT NOT AT ALL FOR THE EXPERIENCED WILDERNESS CAMPERS...GOOD LUCK THOUGH!! ;-) FYI, WE BRING OUR OWN STAINLESS COOKWARE WITH SMALL STOVES AT 2/3s LESS IF NOT 3/4's LESS THE PRICE--THANKS ANYWAY!!* *BUT WE SEE YOUR DEMOGRAPHICS ARE FOR THE INEXPERIENCED--SHAMEFUL ETHICS!!* *WE SUSPECT YOU'LL HAVE IT MANUFACTURED IN CHINA, IF NOT ALREADY, WHICH THERE IS NO QUALITY CONTROL AND VERY CONSISTENT IN MANUFACTURING CRAP!!*
