There will never be another show like the first Star Trek. Really, it feels like it is a real Starship... can you imagine being a shipyard worker and you see the results of all your work... all the overtime.. wow!
I keep saying this, the best talent isn't in Hollywood! This is a MASTERPIECE! A very awesome homage to the original ship that started it all! VERY NICELY DONE!!!!
It would have been nice if that was a full episode. I could have watched more. Nice work! It gave me chills. I don't get that unless I've seen or felt a ghost near me. :)
@@morlockmeat We wont ever build her, none of the Enterprise designs is fit for battle! nacelles on pillions, WTF! I will admit she is a beauty and when you spark up those nacelles! :)
I find it funny that in this video 'The Birth of a Legend' with the way the impulse engines are installed is the exact same way they are removed in another video called 'The Ending is Just the Beginning' where the Enterprise underwent her 18 month refit from the keel up.
Thanks! But I can only take credit for the editing and sound. And I could have the engine room sound on a constant loop, always playing in the background of my life, if I could! 😄
Fantastic job. Brings back memories of the old days of Trek. A credit to your creativity and imagination in the editing, which brings out the talents of the CGI work. 👍
We didn't get to see much of it when Captain Pike was in command, but we saw the monochromatic bridge. Pike's quarters was a heck of lot bigger than Kirk's. Various design changes and upgrades were made from Pike's to Kirk's time - Various console changes, the transporter controls were different, those gooseneck visual communicators throughout the ship. Smaller, rounded view screen. And, of course, the warp nacelles and various other physical schemes of the ship. But, it seems much of the upgrades were made after Kirk took command, from the way the series portrayed it, in the proper filming order. The refit for the Motion Picture was far more extreme. 😊
Canadarm very cool. When leaving space dock at about 07:19 There appears to be another Constitution class starship but with the look of a refit. What was your thinking there? Obviously this is the Enterprise fresh from construction but why a next generation vessel already present?
Wow I'm very impressed! Great how you visualized the assembly of the Enterprise. The Canadarm and the Gateway Foundation machines - awesome! Please also render the video in 4K and 60fps, this masterpiece deserves the best quality... As I said in the description, I can't take credit for the graphics. Only the editing and sound. But, thanks! I'm afraid I can only upload these in the limited way that Apple iMovie allows - 720p. I did enjoy the re-made effects from Robert Wilde's post, Thanks! It was beautifully done!
Amazing and great work! Warp Speed Mr. Scott! Love how you paid attention to even the smallest details!
Thanks! The real credit goes to those in the credits. They're the artists. I'm just the editor and sound-guy. 😊

Absolutely...!
I keep saying this, the best talent isn't in Hollywood! This is a MASTERPIECE! A very awesome homage to the original ship that started it all! VERY NICELY DONE!!!!
Thanks! But the real credit goes to Robert McConnell and others, who created the CGI artistry. I just did the editing and sound. 😊
There's nothing like a classic hotrod!❤
🤤👍

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! ✌🖖
this should have a million views...it brings tears...a hidden gem....no longer hidden
The gem is the Enterprise, herself!
We have to build her.

Yes. That's because that's where it's from, as credited. Good eye!
An excellent video! Most impressive. As for me, I especially love the sights and sound of the engine room.

Was waiting for Fortunate Son to start playing on the nacelle start up😂😂
😆😆😆
it would be nice to see it from the first piece to finish
Yes it would, but a lot more work.😉
Fantastic job. Brings back memories of the old days of Trek. A credit to your creativity and imagination in the editing, which brings out the talents of the CGI work. 👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
@@morlockmeat 👍
Almost perfect, you were showing a warp core conduit from the next refit upgrade that should not have been there yet
My bad… 😊
Muy bueno gracias
De nada. Feliz que te haya gustado. 😊
Awee Laddie...she's a beauty!

At 2:25, "Canada" Arm 😁
Absolutely beautiful!❤❤❤😊
I love this ship ❤😍👍🖖
Me too! 🖖
Wow ! Brand new! Beautiful work👍❤
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Most of the graphics, however, were done by the talented Rob McConnell. He does fantastic work! 😃
Fascinating 🧐 ❤
I FREAKING LOVE THIS VID.........
that was fantastic
This would have been her therd refit when she was 15 years old.
If this was an extensive refit, what did the ship look like before Kirk’s time?

Ha! To be honest, I didn't even notice the refit in the background. Most of the shots were made by the beautifully talented Pony R.Horton.

Not sure about the music. I was half expecting Mama Cass to start singing.
