I believe those are aftermarket aperture sights. I don't think the 1885, or any lever actions on the market for that matter, come with aperture sights like those. People have those installed to hunt with iron-like sights.
Keeping that BEAUTIFUL ART ALIVE! You have my upmost respect Mason. Nice shooting down those irons also! Take care and be sure to pass on that trade.. I LOVED working with leather when I got locked up.
Thank you, New Vegas for helping me learn about this weapon in the first place. Always admired this lever action, especially with the stopping power it brings.
Here in NZ you are completely prohibited to own a semi auto centerfire no matter the capacity but you can own a lever action in what ever caliber you wish 🤦♂️
I learned how to shoot a bolt-action and a lever-action repeater while at Summer Camp at 10 years old. Absolutely fun as Hell. Got a sharpshooter reward by the end of my stay! Been looking for one to get for recreational use. :)
Oooh I would Definitely Love to have one of these in the African Big Game variant, yep looks like Loads of Fun I'll Happily take one Please and Thank You!!! 🤠👍
I have the mossberg 464 which is a 30-30 and I love it so much as my bush gun I’m currently modding it so I can have a light and a quiver for night shoots
A best friend gifted me a Thompson 45/70 , single shot pistol.. I had to sandbag it, whenever I went to the outdoor range. A bit too much pistol for me, but fun to plink steel sheets, and make melons into MUSH. YOUR weapon is great, I would have preferred What YOU have, but like I said, mine was a gift.

A good wasteland doctor always carries their trusted Medicine Stick.
One of the very few rounds that has lived over 140 years and still brings a smile when you shoot it.
Damn. 🔥 The 45-70 is a big boy round.
I have the pistol 🤟
Better than 45-70? How so..?@christinafoster5331
The loading sounds so gooooooood
It would appear that man in loading artillery shell's into a rifle! Fascinating!
Pretty much what he is doing LOL
I love the 30-30. It’s so accurate and has an awesome kick
That's why I like the 7.62x39 but no kick

No one talking about the skill on this man to hit a shot like that with those iron sights
Iron sights are accurate easy 200+ yards, this is an easy shot for a beginner.

@@Djmorton-go5mtnot true. Trapper and SBL both come with Skinner peep sights.
I love those lever action rifles. So cool.
Pega no meu rifle
I love mine, and although I've not shot it a whole lot, I can say I've never missed my targets. It is a hell of an accurate rifle.
My dad's rifle printed a 0.63" group at 100 yards with a 350gr handload. I was shocked after I shot it.

That lever action is like ASMR to me
That's actually pretty much the exact gun that I want for my short range deer rifle and protection when I'm in a place with predators.
I'm really starting to dig lever action rifles lately.
Btw the leather stuff you make looks really well made!
That reload sound....amazing
It's great that this machine got created in 1895.

Never understood why Americans are obsessed with Guns, However this makes sense what a peace of art.

Love 45-70.
Its like old man strength in ballistic form😅
I honestly never knew Sellier&Bellot made 45-70.
It pops up every once in a while, I’m a big fan of S&B, they make great stuff
A short I highly recommend for your channel is the .50gi Glock conversion and it’s one HELL of a conversation starter
