You all probably dont care at all but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
Looks like its a really great engraving machine for smaller jobs, hopefully software can make it do larger areas. The wood cutter feature i would not be using though, the edges get that annoying angle, since the laser isnt directly over it.
Looks like it's not for me, but I'm glad to have you keep me up on what's out there. The part where you can use it on surfaces seems to make it perfect for branding packaging, though.
Hi, I am an indiegogo backer for this unit and I have not received any update from the company at all since I backed this project almost a year ago. I think that the review should also include a precautionary note that the owners of this project are not responsible and keep delaying shipping dates. As great as the product might be, we should not be recommending it if the paying customers don't receive the product.
I'm not really convinced. It appears to be an elegant, a well constructed machine. But it is also very expensive, considering it is capable of little more than novelty applications. Perhaps for someone with a specific need to do a lot of engraving? I bought a similarly powered laser engraver a couple of years back. My plan was to use it to expose photo-resist on copper clad, to make PCBs. But it turned out to be just way too much trouble, along with dubious results. And honestly, I've never really found any other practical uses for it. Great video though. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for this thorough review. I was considering getting the laserpecker pro (older model) and now I discovered the new one, and it seems to be a lot faster. For transparent items: Instead of painting them black, would placing it on top of something black have the same effect? Or covering it with self adhesive black foil? What about metals? Does it only work on soft metal, like aluminum? Or does it work on steel? How about artificial PU leather? Anybody any experiences?
Any concerns about venting smoke and gases in a closed interior environment? Larger lasers use a venting system to avoid breathing the gas byproduct of laser burning.
Thank you for this video! If you have time I would appreciate it if you could list the settings you tried and were successful with for the different materials used
Cool laser engraver, specially the portability with the mobile app that allows for a wide application on the go. Just the price isn't for the enthusiasts but rather someone that's plans to make it a service one can charge for. Keep up the great videos
Hi friend. Very interesting product. There would be a couple of questions: 1. How can I engrave on a round product. How much does the add-on/roll cost? Have you featured it in your video? 2. Is it possible to do these operations on a MacBook Pro? 3. When I design a drawing on a MacBookPro: - In what format should the drawing be saved? - Does the drawing have to be in vector format? 4. What consumable parts are there in this device? - Can you get spare parts for it and where? 5. Are there user manuals for this online that I could translate into Finnish using Google Translate? Thank you :)
I see the laser pecker 3 engraver on TH-cam unboxing. Could check out laser pecker 3. I hear and see it's a fibre laser. That's the laser I wants the most. Because I love to make metal items. Especally since u would get more money than wood products when u reselling your projects.
I have a small problem. I need to use components that are compatible with Arduino. A position sensor (so I use a GPS module. This GPS module must be Adafruit Ultimate GPS Data Acquisition Module (GPS Included)). A position storage (with an SD card that must work with an SPI link). A bluetooth interface. A HMI to visualize the route (using an Android tablet that is compatible with a bluetooth module). You Can advise me to use as a components. Because it's 3 components must bé compatible with Arduino and an Android tablet HMI thanks Tom a bluetooth module.
My concern with these units is that they have a Class IV laser with absolutely none of the safety interlocks required by law, easily capable of starting fires or blinding someone. They are illegal in most countries.
This thought crossed my mind too, making it portable with little in the way of protection seems like a recipe for disaster. This seems like it could be weaponised without any modification.
@@colinyoung3685 To be fair, if you wanted to weaponise something like this, you could just buy the laser modules, but that does infer some level of technical ability. This thing is sold as a consumer product and has absolutely no protection against someone picking it up midway through an engraving job and burning their skin or blinding themselves, that's why I find it particularly worrying.
@@VintageSpeedwerks *You're. Also they clearly aren't, because they care about health and safety, and not trying to cause yourself or others any harm/damage
They say u can use illustrator on computer? But there are no examples at all online on how to send graphic vector to the laserpecker2. Only the app that works?

Is it worth buying because we are thinking of getting one

What I really want to know is, what does the DRM situation for this thing look like? Having to use a proprietary app doesn't make me confident.
I have the Laserpecker Pro with the Auto Stand. But thanks to this video, I've learned that my 5W Pecker can do a whole lot more than I thought!
You must be proud!

Yes. Sorry, at that time when I've made the video , I was told the same from them and I don't know why they have a delay....
Excellent information and now I’m thinking about buying one!

You should test to see if it could be used to make single sided prototype PCBs
Yes! I thought the same thing! PCB engraving. it should work for circuits that fit inside the 100x100mm work area.
Great video about the Laser Pecker 2
Thanks!

Yes, Im looking into getting one from kickstarter
Shared on my Facebook! Love your videos and reviews.
Does this work on stainless?
Awesome. Thanks because I was wanting to know if it can cut transparent plastic
I got one but it is frustrating wasting items as I experiment on power. The settings for material doesn’t work. Ready to send back.

Well, this doesn't seem to be available yet. On the other hand this is one of those crowdfunding projects of which 1% come true.
I have the pro which was the last model. It has a good following of users who have already invested so almost certain it’ll be releasing.

Is the machine able to engrave small silver or gold plates? Like jewel?
Mine doesnt work just bought it but does not engrave and the preview button does not work aswell how to fix that problem plz

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Jesus that REALLY helps in my decision to buy something or to at least investigate the thing more.
200$
I don't think that's 200$ USD

In one of your other videos, I've seen that you tried to cut pcb boards. Did you any tries with laserpecker2. and pcb boards ?
Most useful thanks
For the silicone phone case, what settings did you use? Do you have more attempts on silicone?
This is a good channel
Thanks. It's a good product
Thank you, your video so much helpfull for me
Nice video!
Good info!
Why can’t we buy this product yet? When will it be available?
Interested to know if this will cut 0.5mm thick carbon fibre sheet
Great! Can this laser burn a slim layer of paint? May be intresting use it for create pcb mask for the printed circuit creation process.
I'd rather burn the metal layer on a PCB
thx for the review
Have you tried making a PCB on it? It has the perfect size and it seem it should be able to make one sided and two sided pcbs, with soldermask.
Hi, do you know what the approximate dephness of the mark when used in aluminum?

Is it good to print barcodes and qrcodes that are scannable without problems?
How you put the negative mode ?
Any recommended settings for white leather shoes? Like Nike’s?

Good job
Where you receive it from . i am interested to buy one but not sure which website is safe
Can you cut metal with that laser? If so at what thickness?
So everything but plastic ! OK..learned a thing or two! TY for the video ! HAPPY NEW YEAR !
Thank you. Actually, you could easily engrave dark colored plastic. And if is not dark, just paint over it with black and then engrave.
Hello how do you have any info on the product life?
Did this come with a roller bracket?
No one had a comment about the name? 🤣. I scrolled down immediately to see if anyone went there..
I did

Can it engrave on smooth flat silver surfaces ?

Can you cut 3mm plexiglass
