    I just bought this today for my small business, I make stainless steel jewelry, it’s gonna be great that I can now make it personal for others. Thank you so much for your video and helped me a lot to make my decision I bought it.

    I noticed you had the same issue as me when I got mine and that was placement of the image you want to etch and how to get it where you want it. If you haven't discovered it yet, when you put the image you want on the screen in preview, you can, with your finger on the image, move the position of the lazer on the object you are working with.
    Hope this helps on all your future projects!

    Monogrammed leather gloves are a great seller. Place an internal wood form to stretch the wrist elastic (use butterfly clips to flatten the stretched material).

    It's a nifty little machine. There's not a lot of bang for your buck. I've got the xtool 10w and infrared head and a 40w ohmtexch I use for all my big stuff.
    I bought the laser pecker 2 with the battery pack and the roller to be able to engrave onsight at craft and vendor fairs and it does ok. I don't really use it in the shop because I prefer using lightburn.
    The rotary/roller accessory allows it to do a much bigger area then the 4 by 4. But this little guy is perfect to do tumblers and coasters on the spot.
    Out the door I paid a little over 1300 for the whole pack and it paid for itself in an afternoon.

    Adding the Lazer Pecker to my list of must have! I have so many ideas! I was wondering about the depth of the image on the cutting board. Is it too deep to sand off to give a new surface to re do it? On your bible is it deep enough to cleanly apply some acrylic paint to give it an even colour and make the name stand out, or just to add a colour like gold or silver etc?

    Do you have information about the safety of this device? What about the fumes and our health ? I will appreciate if you have any information, thank you great vídeo!!

    • @altgoz
      @altgoz ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I have a similar concern for the fumes. I did a quick Google search. Every material you want to laser engrave, you should research what VOC and other nasty stuff is produced by burning it. Some plastic and leather produce poison fumes and cause an acid burn in the lungs, when inhaled. I don't want to scare anyone, but be careful by angraving some materials. I will do my angraving outside or with an active charcoal filter, just to be save and I'm still researching it. I ordered an Woodpecker 3 on kickstarter and can't wait, when it arrives. Happy and save laser angraving everyone.

      Be very careful with faux leather… if it’s polyvinyl based, the fumes can be very toxic... as well corrode anything metal nearby. Anything vinyl/PVC is very dangerous.
      Chromium-tanned leather should also be avoided.

I can't find any videos describing or showing how to make sure your clip art is centered and going to come out right where you want it to. Can you help? or Can you make a detailed video on how to do it?
