    "Asylum" seekers is an inappropriate term. This assumes these illegal immigrants are generally escaping oppressive political systems or war, rather than seeking economic gain. Britain has its own army of native homeless citizens in need who are neglected. The majority of these illegal immigrants are conspicuosly young men, rather than "refugee" women and children.

They dislike others because their culture means that they hold certain beliefs that are incompatible with the dominant culture, eg that women are inherently inferior, that gays should be punished, that the physical chastisement of children is necessary and desirable etc etc. If you have grown up with these beliefs, you are unlikely to be disabused of them but to others they are completely unacceptable. We have asylum seekers housed in my City in rental accommodation, the result has been an increase in crime , shoplifting vandalism etc, school girls at one local school now avoid walking past their houses because of lewd comments and inappropriate gestures made toward them. I see growing resentment by local indigenous people fed up of hearing the race card constantly being played by these arrogant people when things do not go their way. A breakdown of the social fabric within the City has occurred and the cultural/ethnic diversity here has been a massive failure .

    A fair point raised, but falls short of addressing the key issue: 100% of unskilled migrants, refugees and asylum seekers end up in working class areas, and only working class areas. While the middle class sneer, and pose, and call for more.
    One by one, working class areas are consumed by numerous foreign cultures - and the resultant power struggles that inevitably follow - coupled with an absolute decline in the general standard of daily life that has absolutely nothing to do with austerity.
    The authorities then use the spectre of racism to keep the local populace in line until, finally, there's no way to keep a lid on the various conflicts of interest. Only by then it is too late. The "new and better culture" is now firmly in place and anyone who is unwilling to go along with the facade is held up to be a INSERT CONTEMPORARY BUZZWORD HERE. They can either put up or go away, even if their family has been in the area for hundreds of years.
    In essence, it's a class conflict so pronounced you may as well call it warfare.
    Keep going in this direction, BBC, and you'll land some pretty big fish.

    1. To seek asylum in a neighbouring safe country, what conditions are required for a person to seek asylum from their country.
    2. Are asylum seekers able to claim asylum in any EU country, regardless of the geographic location, if their border has an EU country bordering it.

      @@AlexanderWoolnough1 As harsh as it is, no, not when we have a housing crisis and a crumbling infrastructure, the NHS is struggling, the idea young people don't get sick so won't cost the NHS is a lie, they can't know that for a fact, i didn't know i was going to develop a chronic illness at 25 that has left me disabled, people are literally living on the streets how many of them do you think died last week during that deep freeze we experienced? We are ignoring them and turning our attention to asylum seekers at the cost of their lives, our taxes need to be spent on helping our own, unfortunately because there is no one else to help them. Where else would they go? How else are they to change their lives? Where's their chance of a better life? Do they not matter?
      You can say the above is us vs them, it is, because the people who are citizens and legally here who are on the streets, most who have paid their taxes and simply fallen on hard times, are losing and there is no one to help them, no country is offering them a better life not one, so what do they do?
      It's all very well helping the world, but it should not come at the cost of our own citizens.
      Come to the north west, walk around Manchester and Liverpool, come to the small towns and see how many people are living on the streets, they want a better life too, yet sadly there's not enough people willing to want to help them, to make the tough decisions and realise that whatever they do there will be winners and losers, so who should win and who should lose? The people who have a legal right and paid into the country all their working lives or asylum seekers? Harsh and unfair but it's the reality.
      I'm nit saying we shouldn't allow anyone to come here, but we need more control and we need to be more realistic about numbers, that's the problem the numbers not the migrants themselves, it's the sheer numbers of migrants each year for a good 10/15 years that has got us here.

      @@libertasdemocratiam887 You're totally right with helping your own people but it's a lie if you say most homeless people have paid taxes all their lives. Most were always and to the day are a burden to the system. Jobs are the most the UK has so what's the excuse for them? Asylum seekers excuse is home office not allowing them to work, if they did the UK will be even more wealthier. Most asylum seekers hate to be dependent on someone else and living on £37 a week. Even if someone is a failed asylum seeker and is a economic migrant, they will still help your country with taxes, doesn't make sense cause they will come regardless. Why aren't those young "homeless" looking for a job? Why don't most mother's after having a child continue working or start their own business and not depend on benefits?? Their populations underlying capacity. Most of you cant figure out how to feed and shelter yourself even in prosperous Europe, and your home countries are h*ll holes. There is an impending battle coming as people are realizing that theyve imported cancer into their society and now, must at some point, treat it. Will a few of you blow yourselves up with a multitude of innocent european people, we’d expect no less. Will you win in the end though, of course not, and on some level im sure you’re aware of that and of the massive power differential. Even those of you in positions of leadership only hold those positions because we allow it. You have no actual right to hold high office in our countries. History is littered with stories like the one unfolding and even if wealthy arab countries assist you, you must know u stand no chance. You’re not a very resourceful or capable group of people. There is a very important question, why migrants try their hard to come to the UK crossing all the way in difficult situations. Some of them stayed for years in German, France, Belgium etc.refused to apply for asylum in those countries, because they were targeting the UK. I would say historically they have some kind of connection with UK.. It is very obvious people who were conolised by British culturally they are strongly fascinated by Britich, not all the things done by conolisation were bad. In many cases Britain built good democratic constitutions which later were spoiled by the national rulers of those countries. Compering what I have mentioned against the French colonisation which destroyed everything and practiced very rude and bad discrimination against them as well founded aggressive dictatorships which still have been torturing its own people in many African countries. So I understand why most of the migrants why try to do their best to reach UK. Migrants issue needs international collaboration to raise awareness that UK is not the land of dreams as well hard work is needed to support poor countries with many schemes and projects to enhance their living conditions in their countries. For sure the priority should be directed to create good political constitutions, otherwise migrants will never stop.

    "As a progressive middle-class leftist Remainer, I demand that the UK take in as many asylum seekers as possible and houses them in places I don't visit very often."
    The people advocating mass-immigration, multiculturalism and diversity don't have to suffer the many negative aspects as ordinary working-class Brits who have seen crime increase and their areas turning into shitholes.

      @@YorickReturns who are the British? The Celts? I think you'll find they came from mainland Europe too. England was created by the Anglo-Saxons so we are therefore native to that territory.

    • @YorickReturns
      @YorickReturns 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Well, all of humanity came from Africa originally. So, by your 'logic', the whole world should be a free-for-all. Are you sure you're not a leftist? No, you just love diversity and immigration when it suits your cause. The Celts are the oldest extant people of these islands. Therefore they are indigenous. Anglo-Saxons are just immigrants. Actually, worse than that, they are invaders. Sorry if that upsets you, but it's the truth.

    • @jameswhiteley6843
      @jameswhiteley6843 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@YorickReturns yes and in the time from coming from Africa (if that's actually true) humanity has since found nations for different groups of people. The Anglo-Saxons and other tribes which invaded Britain were not immigrants, they were invaders and eventual settlers who created England. The land of England is ours by right of conquest. As for the rest of the UK we are in a Union with them and over the last thousand years we have become a distinct group of people. The ethnic make-up of the country allowed us to become one of the most successful nations to exists and have a great deal of influence over the world. That does not mean we should be ethnically replaced by other groups of people.

    • @YorickReturns
      @YorickReturns 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get it. You love diversity and genocide, as long as it's not happening to you. Your attitude to the indigenous British is the same as the left's attitude to all white people.

    28,000 more in 2021 by boat alone into the UK. we do not have the money or space, housing nor schools and we have 6m people on NHS waiting lists. Also the concentration is the issue. Where I live in London I have moved without moving from an area which is mostly white (and am from 98% white NE England) to a borough where most people are not (and of course many of those are not asylum seekers). I am now a stranger in my own land without moving. i am the other, the strange one who does not cover her head and the like. I did not move to obtain this change. I did not choose to be woken at night by those whose cultures differ and I wish they could put themselves into the shoes of the 67m Britons and think what would we like - silence at night, people picking up street litter, perhaps less aggressive non Christian worship and new comers to keep silent over heir homophobic and sexist views and no bribes would be a good start and of course to learn perfect English no matter how many hours a week that takes.
