And also keep in mind that India is developing country with large number of poor people whereas most European countries are already developed, that's why India has more needs than Europe.
Europeans doesn't want to harm their economy even little bit by not purchasing Oil from Russia, but Europeans doesn't care about India where poor people can badly be affected or even could die of hunger just by banning the purchase of Oil.

Cheap gas from Russia allowed EU economy, especially Germany , to be competitive. The Americans played a very smart game by sanctioning Russian gas and the EU shot itself in the foot by blindly toeing the American command.
It will take a very long time for EU to find other suppliers who can make up for what Russia has been supplying. Importing far more costly LNG from USA is gonna make EU exports costlier.

@@sexydemn meant that the days of EU competing with US market is over as now US will supply EU it's oil and gas, (I don't how and by what volume, simply impossible to replace that much of Russian energy supply) , thus making it more subservient to it, sad development if you ask.
@@nwo2696 LNG will be very expensive for the EU and very little. High gasoline prices in Europe, shutdowns of enterprises due to gas shortages will lead to strikes and riots. And Putin did a good job that he made the payment for oil and gas in the national currency.

I think it's because a ministry was given to an expert and not to a mere politician.. all ministries should be handled by experts and not Netas.. home ministry to retired IG or DGP , defence to retired General, finance to retired IRS or retired RBI governor and so on..
