Congratulation from Germany to India. That you have such calm and good experienced foreign minister. And of course he is totaly right. How can British politics talk like this to Indian. They still think they are the center of the world.

Biden is a genius. He gave weapons to Ukranians Nationalists, got them to invade the Donbass telling them Russia wouldn't do a thing about it because it feared NATO. Russia took the bait and by invading the Ukraine it became a Rogue State. Bye Putin! Also the US became the Gas supplier of Europe and is making a lot of money selling weapons to Europe. And the most important thing is that from now on, no European country will dare to contradict us as Germany and France did in the past.
All of this without shooting a single bullet. Ukranians are the cheapest cannon fodder you can find
China, Old Joe is coming after you next!

Russia wants India back as their Cold War friend. Perhaps India still loves that wonderful time . At that time, the country was in the verge of starvation, BTW. Let her be.
Besides the energy issue. How does India respond to the killing of innocent Ukrainians and unprovoked invasion of Russia? Where is your moral compass? Apparently, India is no different from China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba,… who sides with Russia at any cost. Perhaps the US, Japan, Australia should not count on India as a part of their Indo- Pacifist strategy. Let India stay in the BRIC and the Chinese led security organization. Now the free world knows the true India. There will be no world outrage next time when China and Pakistan gang up to attack India. Russia is more than happy to send over refurbished T-72 as a few millions a pop

British Foreign Secretary was certainly not prepared for this response from Jaishankar. She seemed at a loss for words and started mumbling in generalities after the rebuff. Glad it has come to this. It is time the West also realized the changed order and learn to live with it. The spotlight is now on Asia and no longer on Europe.

@@balunallaperumal4491 Now the problems start in India. Now Indian government will be a target for regime change by US and UK. There are many terrorist NGOs for that. Problem with India's defensive and cautious foreign policy wrt to Pakistan is, whichever camp India goes to, Pakistan goes to other camp. So Pakistan is reactive foreign policy.
Ex: After India bought russian oil, Pakistani Army general said they were close to US.
So unless India is more aggressive in foreign policy like China, we will slowly be decimated over this and next decade.
India must agressively pursue mutual defensive alliance with countries like Israel to help them defend against Middle East in return for their help with Pakistan(Since pakistan wants to help Middle East destroy Israel), Indonesia and Vietnam(for Chinese) Not US, UK who are snakes that will mess us up, And finally ban all foreign NGOs.
Indian NAM policy will be its detriment since Chinese and Pakistanis are playing around ours and undermining us always.

its not the U.S fault when the Afghani army literally did not fight the Taliban and literally opened the gates to the Taliban with open arms there was little to no resistance to the Taliban in Afghanistan. The U.S spent 2 trillion dollars for 20 years to prop up a democracy in a country that never wanted western lifestyle in the first place. the Pashtuns wanted Islamic radicals they got islamic radicals in charge. The best thing is to let these vermin starve to death until the afghan people revolt against talbiani rule.

The UK talking about "free countries" is a slap on the face of history.

    • @benbim540
      @benbim540 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

It is the country that gave freedom to the world by outlawing the slave trade and forcing the world to give up slavery and is the country that brought parliamentary democracy to the world and also the country that gave the world a right to trial by a jury of their peers also the country that gave the world the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise it is also the first empire in history to voluntarily give independance to the nations in it's empire. And in Magna Carta which was issued in June 1215 and was the first document to put into writing the principle that the king and his government was not above the law. It sought to prevent the king from exploiting his power, and placed limits of royal authority by establishing law as a power in itself.
Magna Carta, charter of English liberties granted by King John on June 15, 1215, under threat of civil war and reissued, with alterations, in 1216, 1217, and 1225. By declaring the sovereign to be subject to the rule of law and documenting the liberties held by “free men,” the Magna Carta provided the foundation for individual rights in Anglo-American jurisprudence.

This is where Congress capitulated and BJP stood firm. Staying firm under huge pressure and still retaining their composure and dignity... Indian diplomacy has come a long way. Kudos to Sri S.Jayshankar.

Manmohan singh had suggested his name too.. dont relate it to a party. His identity should be above a political party. He stands for india not bjp. Whenever he speaks its always he speaks on behalf of india and not glorifying bjp. Whickever party he is in the idea is the nation comes first.

@@jessicamariam2484 So, then why couldn't Manmohan Singh take him into his cabinet? Fonia came in the way? Minority lobby? Ahmed Patel stopped him? What else?
Understand your pain though, as you guys intensely hate BJP.
However, that confidence and the resolve come from Modi regime, the hardwork put in by Modi govt in the last 8 years..
India has made rapid strides in the last 8 years and is a major defence and an economic powerhouse in the world today.
Empty rhetoric doesn't work. Try to understand that the confidence Mr. Jayshanker exudes in international fora comes from the Prime Minister and his uncompromising working style.
Nation comes first for any foreign affairs minister and it should. Individuals seldom matter. This minister, of course, is good in impactful communication but the confidence comes from behind.
Your rabid Hate for BJP is unwarranted. The only nationalist party working for the overall development of the country unlike the corrupt and anti-national Congress.
      There you go!

I have lived and loved this country of U.K. and at the same time I will not forget my roots and am proud of many of the good things that my country of birth have and at the same time would not hesitate to despise some of the bad things of India primarily because Indians have a knack of imitating some of the bad things of the West. My relationship with U.K, my adopted country and India where I was born and proud of the heritage is same like Englishman's attitude when they emigrate to Australia, Canada and USA and they remain loyal to the British monarch no matter what. I am proud of the fact that Mr Jaishankar, the foreign minister of India has been able to express clearly and confidently that India is a big country not only in size but in other respect too and would not bow to the West to chose who are our friends and who are your enemies. The tide of international politics is changing because India has a strong, stable leadership who can think clearly and courageously and act in that way.

I liked your comment brother... I understand by ur words that u r loyal to India.. Since u r a wealthy man plz help helpless people of India, like sponsoring a orphan child or etc.. we have lot of socioeconomic issues here . The once wealthiest country is poverty ridden by the loot of your adopted county... So take some from there n invest here in socioeconomic Reforms... Country will be proud of you.

I READ an anecdote decades ago...: DURING THE VICTORIAN ERA...the height of BRITISH empire...a CITIZEN of the EMPIRE decided to travel worldwide..he wanted to see his empire.s greatness ...to africa...south america...america...middle east ..pacific .asia...as final region...he reached india..or maybe it was indonesia...and was riding carriage...he happened on the road...an OLD thin...man...naked but for his pants...SITTING calmly by the roadside..under the shade of trees...
so...the PROUD british decided to step out...talk to the old man...BRAGGING...' it is a GOOD thing that we British came here. ISN T it magnificent that our empire brings order to such a BACKWARD place.? ...."....THE OLD MAN ...replied in a soft voice..."SIRE...WE WERE HERE in the EAST...LONG BEFORE you were even SAVAGE tribes,..in the west,,,we will STILL BE HERE ....long after your empire s are no more"......
