Using the ramp feature - my Luna G3 APAP user manual says you can "use this feature as often as you wish during sleep" This is very vague. My old Respironics machine had a "Ramp" button right on top. How do I select the ramp feature on the Luna G3 when the "hurricane " wakes me up? PS: the ramp feature is already set to "AUTO".
Just got this machine and I prefer my Reslex at a 3. Two things I've noticed are; 1) I have a setting above 3 that just says "patient" and I am unable to find any information on that setting at all. 2) When breathing out, I feel the relief, but it seems to only be for about half of my breath, and then it goes back to full pressure. It's odd and sometimes quite distracting when trying to fall asleep, but after I eventually fall asleep, it doesn't bother me. Wondered if you have any knowledge on this. Thanks!
There may be a setting in there that would allow you to extend the exhalation relief. I will have to check the clinical menu and see if I can find anything.
What's the best thing you do if I can't keep my mouth closed while I sleep and the chin straps hurt my jaw. The one that came with my mask and machine is way too tight and another I bought a long time ago isn't as tight, but still makes my jaw hurt....so me having my mouth open causes issues with the air in the mask
I’m a new user and I’m noticing the mask kind of pulsating when I exhale. I’m pretty sure that’s what is causing to me to take the mask off while sleeping. Do you have any advice for a setting to adjust to help with this?
You seem pretty knowledgeable with this stuff I was just curious I just received my new dreamscape machine and the settings are all wrong I don’t wanna go back to the doctor and have to go through all that I was wondering if there’s anyway you could help me with setting the pressure on my machine? I just figured I’d ask it couldn’t hurt to try!!

Is there any way to adjust the brightness of the screen at night? I have my brightness set to low and backlight set to auto. Whenever I pause the machine, to use the restroom it turns on the screen and illuminates my entire room. The light is very jarring and it wakes my wife up.
@marcespina1 You can choose low or high on the brightness setting. If you want the screen off at night, turn the backlight to Auto, the other selections for screen can stay on. That will turn off the screen light, and the top light for the on/off button.
@heidisheldon5860 it could be that you are not having events. My react app shows no events most of the time. I have had two times in a month where it showed . 2 AHI , even 5 point is good.

You would just restart the CPAP and it will go back to ramp mode.

Should/can you continue to breathe out of your nose, or should you exhale through mouth?
If you are on a nasal mask then you need to breath through your nose. If you are on a full face, then you can breath through mouth or nose.

How do you slow down the exhale relief? No one breathes that fast while they are sleeping.
You can adjust the Reslex setting from off to 3.
Mine always says its leaking afters hours of using even though I ran the mask leak test and it gave me a thumbs up and said great !
That can happen as you move around in your sleep. Probably need some slight tightening maybe.

Cool video. I was actually getting rainout with humidifier and heated tube on auto, strangely enough. How does the system choose the levels on auto?
It has a thermometer and hydrometer that it calculates how much humidity it can add.
Regarding ramp it I need it to ramp down and I have to turn it off by pressing the start/stop button hiw will it accurately record therapy hours ?
Yes it will record all the time that you are on it and using it.

I just got my Luna G3 last week. It's not recording the AHI or CAI data at all.
That is interesting. I would contact your provider, because they should be able to get that data from the CPAP for you.

Machine is gurgling. I have changed the humidity to 1 and the heating tubing and it is still gurgling. Help please.

Why isn't reflex showing up for me to adjust! Theres a hurricane blowing my face off!
It probably needs to be enabled in the provider menu. Instructions below for that.
