Another Pathetic Attempt At Dent Repair On The 1948 GMC

  • Well we are knee deep in the 3 window to 5 window conversion on our 1948 GMC Truck. Unfortunately, I had to fix a few dents in the roof first before I could begin welding the windows in. So I decided to hack together another quick video of the repair to hold everyone over until the window swap is completed

    I find your work amazing! I suck at it but I'm learning. After several views and going frame by frame through the video I noticed a hole in the corner of the roof. I think if you zoom in you can see what I'm talking about. I would love to be working on my 53 that is rusting in the snow outside my shop door but I have to bend 16 nitrous/fuel lines on my 6-71 blown 292. Mary was so excited to see Allen and Poe in the video. She howled uncontrollably. Joseph even joined in. I'm glad to see you are not putting those stupid cave bear latches on your truck. I have owned mine for 42 years and the doors have never come open that I can remember. It's lunchtime here so I think I'll have something sweet, maybe a brownie for a change. Thank you for your time.

    • @CarterAutoRestyling
      @CarterAutoRestyling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the tip on the hole, I would have missed it otherwise! Can you imagine the disappointment if my roof has leaked? I agree about the bear claw latches. A few years back, I installed the "bolt on" kit on a customers truck and wasn't impressed with the quality. Plus the only reason his doors were flying open was because the striker plate screws were all finger tight. We decided to install them anyway because the rest of the truck was a cobbled together nightmare on the verge of folding in half.

    Ooooh! A two-camera shoot with good camera placement and excellent lighting, combined with split-screen editing! Even though "The Boss" knows metal work, now the production values are creeping towards Hollyweird levels, without the budget! I guess we can't bitch about that! Then shots of the fuzz-balls and calligraphy on a paper towel? Woe. And even starting out with the incomparable scruffy coat -- I doubt that any movie studio has anything to match it in their collection. So now it is as real as real gets. Luvit.
