No talk about his easy dashdance? It's not only the easiest, but is the closest one to Melee's dashdancing, as you don't need to perform a second foxtrot, just input a dash and after a couple of frames, either input a dash forward or backward.

+Hasan Mubarak Roy is kinda bad, maybe even a low tier considering you can literally shield all kill moves until extremely high percentage, in which case you may get up throw. Roy also struggles at approaching in neutral, with no projectile, and a lack luster Nair considering you have to be really close. Outside of low percents, Roy's throw combos aren't really like combos, more of a huge mixup, considering your opponent can literally DI away everytime you try to combo, and Roy may have a 50/50 air dodge read mix up with down throw to forward smash, if your opponent is good, most of the time they'll just DI away and jump away from you. In reality, Roy struggles at killing, approaching, has a lack luster combo game, and Is also easily abused by combos because of his weight. The only thing Roy has going for him is solid mix ups and great edge Guard potential
How much of this got patched out and what are some reliable combos I can use? Think about it like a traditional fighter just coming onto platform fighting. My uncle is a Tekken/Street Fighter player and didn't understand movement at first. He wanted to dash dance but wasn't expecting the turn around animation. He also didn't understand how our "one-button" combos worked.

+DmodGmod Well, but Shulk is way more difficult to play than Cloud. It kinda sucks, cause most of the Shulk players switched to Cloud due his better frame data. Sad cause ppl finally started to mastering Shulk more.

+Taillessbridge7 Witch time is literally just a counter. It's activated the same way, only with this, you have to actually counter attack yourself and the timing is stricter than with other counters since using it too soon triggers bat within instead. So nothing wrong with that move.
+Ian Appell (Mr. Gency) but with witch time it leads into a full combo, and because the slow length is determined by the percent rather than move you can hit her with a weak move and have almost a full smash to the face, that and hiding from the doc clip of sjw gets you with the slow time at the right spot on the stage she can use the slow to send you into a down smash spike
"Her counter is so broken it makes her a broken character!" [her counter doesn't do a one hit kill for countering a strong attack] [her counter is almost useless at very low percent] [her counter window is extremely small and shrinks with more and more use] [shulk's counter exists]
If your avatar is to be believed and you play Marth or Lucina, then of COURSE he's hard for your character to beat because his range is longer, he actually has combo potential,unlike Marcina and his frame data is much much better. Marcina has lag on even the simplest of attacks. Most pro players put Marcina in the bottom 15 for a reason. Meanwhile, Cloud is already being placed in the top 20.
Naryx Dandy Tech Skill the Headchog Andrew Moreno There's also this thing called a grab. Perhaps you guys should look into it. Cloud may not have that many combos off his throws but his grab still comes out on a good frame.
+MySmashCorner I found a very useful starting combo for cloud. The opponent has to be at 0-2% (depending on weight). You start this with a down attack that hits the opponent in the last second. You then execute a quick up smash without charging, as this will mess it up. After that, an up attack is executed. You now have a few options. I usually go for the neutral aerial. I once racked up 80% of damage continuing this combo. To recap, it's D-Attack, U-Smash, U-Attack, etc.
Link the music video for the song you used, the guy who made it worked very hard on it, I don't think he would appreciate if you didn't give him credit...
the down stab dash is a very clever way to troll through multiple enemies and then while in air setup your initial combos at ease. With the right practice, you can potentially keep your opponent airborne for quite a while and have plenty of time to charge up at the start of matches. Done correctly, smash attacks can follow into a deadly combo at ease.
I know you are close to that little mac combos and tricks vid, so make sure you go over turnaround K.O punch, jump-cancel KO punch, running KO punch, running jump- cancel KO punch(basically you can do running KO punch but you don't have to run as far), jump-cancel KO punch out of shield (make sure you are holding the shield button while putting in the inputs : jump button and within a few frames press special), get up KO punch, reverse get up KO punch, jump- cancel up- special, turn around neutral special, his perfect pivoting and it' uses, also his up-tilted f-smash can combo up special if your opponents pops up above you. Make sure you don't forget KO punch setups like the traditional down tilt into KO punch, double jab into KO punch, up tilt up tilt into ko punch, downward angled f-smash into jab lock into KO punch, and make sure you play with his up tilted f-smash, because a few times I was able to combo that into KO punch; I think was because I charged it for a good amount of time but idk. Anyways have fun with the mac vid and oh yeah .. MAKE A LITTLE MAC VIDEO :)

+FightingPolygon I've read some really stupid gamefaqs threads about people complaining that they died to half charged fsmashes (from Roy) after being hard read, than proclaiming to be good despite said fsmash was caused from him airdodging a *downthrow* at 44%... And shit like that. My point is there's a never a reason to do that. He was bad, like most people who want mid / low-high tier characters nerfed lol I just hope NIntendo never listens to people like that.

Another thing that you could've added is that Cloud has a wall jump which can be useful for recovering, as well as a dair that spikes near the ledge. I personally find that his blade beam can be useful for ledge guarding as it disrupts the opponent. They often have to avoid that attack or the following. I think you caught everything else in this vid :) Well Done! P.S: I found out that the early hit of an up air can also deflect back PacMan's Fire Hydrant ;)
Man, your uploads are so great! You come up with amazing things all the time. I always want even more of your content, but I know these vids take alot of time. Fantastic work. If you read your comment section, I have a question. How do you input on the joystick for a turn-around jab? I always try to do turn-around jabs or grabs out of shield, but in the heat of the moment I either don't input the turn around or end up dash grabbing. Should I get good at slightly tilting the joystick for the turn-arounds, or is there a way to quickly flick it or something that will turn the character around?
Just in case nobody knew: wall jump into immediate climhazard will give you a safe recovery since cloud will snatch the ledge rather than going above the ledge or having that airtime before grabbing the ledge.
Hey guys, here's something I just figured out. Cloud's cross-slash's 2nd hit draws the enemy slightly towards Cloud. So this can combo into a possible Climhazzard if done right.
When opponent's shield size is about 2/3, you can break their shield by using limit break N-special into immediate dash attack. And it's not a true combo, but 2 U-tilts into N-air into U-air into Finishing touch can kill your opponents at low-mid percent. This combo is currently pretty common in Japan.
4:31 Most people I play attempt a B-Air or (Un)Charged Cross Slash while I'm recovering hoping if I'm I don't tech it but they end up failing most of the time. A good thing to do is pressure people that are charged into using Climhazzard as a ledge recovery as to not use it for any other special.
His Limit Charge can also be cancelled midair by pressing L/R and immediately inputting a special attack. Most characters with charging moves can do this too.
1 thing as a mix up i found you can do is the first 2 hits of cross clash into re grab ( they can only jump out if their fast enough but mostly guaranteed)
Nice! I feel like Cloud is going to be a character with a very deep meta around him, and has a ton of potential to be a great character. I personally am not maining him because I hate maintenance moves (Limit Charge), and am waiting on Corrin to be the true projectile swordsman I've always wanted. But Cloud is undeniably pretty sweet!
here's a tip on the ledge drop down a bit the jump then up air and you should land on stage if you do it right and on low percentage it combos into a grab
Not sure if this helps at all, but N-air strings with Cloud can gimp a very good portion of characters that are at around 60% or higher. It sends them at an awkward angle to recover from, similar to the second part of Ganondorf's up-air.

yeah i realized after a few months, if his moves were just safer on shield and he had a better combo throw he'd be MUCH better

She is just straight up broken! She can do her up b twice and slow down time. I can keep going on about reasons why she is broken, but I'm tired.

Interesting take on it, his d-tilt is great for mixups, and it makes him able to get in for a string of up-dilts.

Another thing that you could've added is that Cloud has a wall jump which can be useful for recovering, as well as a dair that spikes near the ledge. I personally find that his blade beam can be useful for ledge guarding as it disrupts the opponent. They often have to avoid that attack or the following. I think you caught everything else in this vid :) Well Done! P.S: I found out that the early hit of an up air can also deflect back PacMan's Fire Hydrant ;)

Man, your uploads are so great! You come up with amazing things all the time. I always want even more of your content, but I know these vids take alot of time. Fantastic work. If you read your comment section, I have a question. How do you input on the joystick for a turn-around jab? I always try to do turn-around jabs or grabs out of shield, but in the heat of the moment I either don't input the turn around or end up dash grabbing. Should I get good at slightly tilting the joystick for the turn-arounds, or is there a way to quickly flick it or something that will turn the character around?
Just in case nobody knew: wall jump into immediate climhazard will give you a safe recovery since cloud will snatch the ledge rather than going above the ledge or having that airtime before grabbing the ledge.
Hey guys, here's something I just figured out. Cloud's cross-slash's 2nd hit draws the enemy slightly towards Cloud. So this can combo into a possible Climhazzard if done right.
I am amazed everytime I watch my smash corner or little Z or beefy smash dudes or anyone who makes great videos on smash 4 smash highlights also

When opponent's shield size is about 2/3, you can break their shield by using limit break N-special into immediate dash attack. And it's not a true combo, but 2 U-tilts into N-air into U-air into Finishing touch can kill your opponents at low-mid percent. This combo is currently pretty common in Japan.

4:31 Most people I play attempt a B-Air or (Un)Charged Cross Slash while I'm recovering hoping if I'm I don't tech it but they end up failing most of the time.
A good thing to do is pressure people that are charged into using Climhazzard as a ledge recovery as to not use it for any other special.

His Limit Charge can also be cancelled midair by pressing L/R and immediately inputting a special attack. Most characters with charging moves can do this too.
If you have a limit, you can down throw into limit side b. This usually works from 0-25 or so depending on the character you sre doing this combo on.
Rush Hour Smash had that dair to finishing touch confirm in the combo video that just came out. What a neat coincidence!
1 thing as a mix up i found you can do is the first 2 hits of cross clash into re grab ( they can only jump out if their fast enough but mostly guaranteed)
Izaw also covered some more Nair combos, potential strings and kill setups, and Frame Cancel Fair combos.

Nice! I feel like Cloud is going to be a character with a very deep meta around him, and has a ton of potential to be a great character. I personally am not maining him because I hate maintenance moves (Limit Charge), and am waiting on Corrin to be the true projectile swordsman I've always wanted. But Cloud is undeniably pretty sweet!
Clouds climb hazard near the edge is a sick combo
here's a tip on the ledge drop down a bit the jump then up air and you should land on stage if you do it right and on low percentage it combos into a grab
Not sure if this helps at all, but N-air strings with Cloud can gimp a very good portion of characters that are at around 60% or higher. It sends them at an awkward angle to recover from, similar to the second part of Ganondorf's up-air.
