So cool I'll have to start some of these this winter. I like those growing trays, They sprouted over night wow! when you lifted that tray up, I expected the peas to fall out how cool is that. All the best Steve
Thank you for the video. One question, have you tried leaving the roots with a small stem in the tray after cutting the plant to see if it will regrow itself at least one more time? Thanks ahead.
i have not tried that. I'm starting another batch of peas and sunflower shoots soon, so may give it a try. Thanks for stopping by my channel - hope you are enjoying my videos.

Hi, Thanks for this video. I am new to all of this ~ (like your video stated - when u move under a grow light) how many hours of 'grow light' time each day do you suggest ? Just wondering ... Your explanations were nice & clear & calm - Thanks again, & I have subbed ... A fellow Canadian here : ) Also, what kind of (inexpensive - if possible) grow lights would you suggest ? I saw so many types on Amz (Can) but have no clue : ( which to buy ... Thank-you : )
Hello Cindy ! So glad you are enjoying my channel. I have a video specifically about my growlights that includes links to Amazon in the description. My favorites are the Feit LEDs. They are cheap and easy to attach to shelving and hookup with a timer. I think you can find them at Can Tire or Lowes as well. I usually have all my growlights set for 16 hrs on and 8 off. Hello Emily! They are called speckled peas. I tried growing them outside like regular green peas and they didn't do very well. They make tasty pea sprouts though! Thanks for stopping by my channel.
@@LittleGardenSK hello, I do think its Dwarf Grey Sugar from mummy's seeds. As speckled peas have less leaves but more stems and taller. Can you please check for me?
I got a big laugh out of your story of being made to eat cooked peas when you were little. Unlike you, I got caught doing it in third grade when trying to avoid eating root beer jello at school. When the teacher saw what I was trying to do, she forced me to eat two giant bowls of it as punishment.

Nice. I'd use a mesh tray to allow more rooting and get a better yield.

yes, sunflower sprouts are really good too. I grew a big batch last year - removing all the shells is kind of a pain.

After cutting them would they regrow if you don't root them out.
They probably would come back a second time - i will give it a try next batch.

Do you think they will regrow after cut?
Ho often do you water them when you uncover the plants?
Hello Nadia. I check the bottom tray each day and add water as needed. Don't want them to dry out.

Can I store extra, soaked peas?
Hello Cathy. I'm not sure if they will store very well after being soaked. They may rot. You can try to dry them out and see what happens! Good luck.

What kind of peas are those? They certainly aren't green peas. They look more like chick peas/garbanzo beans.

Next time you will have to eat the peas first and you can't leave the table until the plate is empty. They are growing well.

Haha that is funny! Root beer jello still sounds better than cooked peas to me!
