I am on the train on my way home from the Wind Up Watch Fair in New York City. I walked right past Spinnaker with barely glancing at their display. I wish had seen these watches.
@MrZanzibar123 I bought a Bulova Surveyor Automatic with a dark green dial and Winup Watch Fair New York City caseback and box. It also came with a Bulova 150 year anniversary poster I plan on getting framed. I also bought a Seiko "dive watch" travel alarm clock with, rotating bezel, lumed hands and indices, and a smooth sweep seconds hand.
I think this is a great release. Love the collaboration, love the humour, love the extra accessories and presentation. Homage watches are not where my interest usually sits but this manages to have a character of its own.

I tried to preorder the first batch but I guess I misunderstood when the preorder was going live. It said 11am NYC and i go to the site and they was sold out before 11 even hit.
I really like the watch aesthetic. Unfortunately Spinnaker ship from Hong Kong using FedEx, and since my last purchase shipped via FedEx been stolen and FedEx response was basically "f*** off, but please pay taxes for the parcel you never had". I can't work with FedEx anymore. Maybe I could get one from a local retailers in France, I hope so 😁
@@F2PJFF Yeah, I know. I've been refunded since then, but the prejudice is beyond money. Not to motion the trust lost, I'll never get the timepiece that was in the package, may not have chance to find another one like that. Thank you too, take care 😁
@@CravenfrFedEx is great here in the states. It's actually the best courier. There's only two really good major couriers in the states and it's FedEx and UPS. Never had a problem in over 20 years. Maybe in France they are not as reliable so I'm sorry to hear that. I ordered both the 50 phantoms black dial ghost bezel and black dial black bezel last year and got both with fedex with no issues.
@@steelsteez6118 I hope to get trust back someday, maybe I'll purchsase something without looking up for transporter and have pleasing experience. May be in busy time around Christmas FedEx have used third party last mile delivery, and thing been wrong. Woud like to know details back then but there was no discussion 😣 I hope you still enjoy the watches, moving on, a local reseller will have a 50 Fanthoms for me 😁
Just laid it down for a Xeric Invertor 2, going to miss this year’s phantoms. But I’m okay with that, the watch seems fun, but, I’m not a year round ghost guy. I suppose if you were going to just wear it on rotation in October, yah okay, I get it.
I tried to buy one during release, I had my account set up and everything. Then during checkout I see no paypal... I don't own a visa or credit card so buying was not possible. Luckily some stores in europe had some pieces and I'm talking about 5 pieces/store. They commented on the instagram post and that way I still got one ordered using paypal :D so glad the stores commented on their post.
Cool looking watch. But seems like you could only wear it maybe 2 months or so a year due to the obvious theme. Anyway, I own a Spinnaker (a Bradner), but had an issue with it. The pin on the clasp of the beads of rice strap fell off after just a few wears. Spinnaker, to their credit, sent me a completely new strap. But they also emailed me to say this was the one time they would provide service for the watch, insinuating that the warranty was now void. Which, considering this was a quality issue on their end, kind of rubbed me the wrong way. So, although I really like the quality of the watch (other than the pin issue), I'm a bit reluctant to order again being treated as if I am to blame somehow.
Fun and clever themed watch as the previous version. Maybe even more so. I think I'd have more fun and enjoy this more than the BP X Swatch plastic rubbish. I think I like the No Apparitions version a bit more between the 2 versions. With watch and included swag, you're ready to hit a rave. Oh, would have been cool if these also came with some candy corn or ghostly gummies... Something for the trick or treaters.

I have a Hamilton Interstellar. Longines is nice but not many of their watches really excited me, except the Spirit Zulu time, that one's pretty awesome.
You've been making reviews about Spinnaker watches for five years and not once have they recieved a lume score from you. Then you review arguably their most lumed watch release ever and still no lume score. Whyyyyyyyyyy?
Mostly because I only got the watch a day or two before they announced it, and I wanted to get this video out as soon as I could. But as mentioned in the review, the lume on these watches is not particularly long lasting, so I didn't think it was worth doing the lume test.

I have last year’s 50 Phantoms, and I love it! I like this new No Appationa model. I wish though it came also with the original’s 43mm case size.
If only No App version have BEZEL from Classic version. Only my wish. Such beautiful watches. ❤

The Swatch-Pan 50 Phathoms has kinda ruined this style of watch for me. The bezel here looks cheap and plastic-y in my opinion
