I love love LOVE how subtly snarky T’Pol could be.
subtlety is a lost art, discovery writers would have made her cry and deliver a 5 minute speech about the tea
And one of several episodes where T'pol tips viewers of the third side of that Isosceles Love Triangle dominated by her and Trip. That third short side is with Archer, as she subtly hisses at the "other woman" dominating Archer's attention.
I love how T'Pol passive-aggressively tells Archer to enjoy his tea😁.
That level of passive aggression is almost British

I know the timeline gets mucked with a lot, but I think at the time the script was more inspired by the cholera outbreaks of 1850s London.
Even in TOS, there were missions to cure virus outbreaks!
This ep would have aired around the time of the bird flu epidemic in parts of the US, UK, and Europe.
Wasn't deadly to humans, just caused flu-like symptoms. But it killed off a lot of poultry, so it's relatively fresh in people's minds for raising the cost of chicken and turkey for around a decade.
I wish they had just allowed T'pol to have long hair, in a lot of older Star Trek, including the original movies many female Vulcans had long hair, I see no reason why T'pol couldn't have long hair

I always hoped that when Archer went back to Earth, that he had swung by and picked up Riann...great husband/wife material. She already knows he's from another world and there was not "Prime Directive" to get in the way. Just thought it would be a neat ending.

Been awhile since we saw a new like this one tonight; thank you, for such a wonderful ontourage of surprize moments gathering science facts in secret! Worth the wait despite being 30 mins late to see the premier live. The first impression is always the most dramatic and lovely, plus decorative costumes - keeps the suspense up. Just like being there in spirit.

@rcnelson, Well, obviously, there was no Prime Directive during this period of time, prior to the formation of the Federation. So.....
The biggest problem with these moments is the suspension of disbelief is just impossible, here. They are speaking provincial English, American, Midwestern, and yet this woman senses no accent or differentiation in their dialect or their mannerisms, which would be very peculiar by comparison to what she was used to. More importantly, the Universal Translator does not alter their brains but simply allows them to speak and understand the alien's speech. Not move their mouths to 'ape' it. So, how are they speaking to her? Did they take a course in their language and perfect her local subdialect and all its subtleties? Like Jaden / Data in STNG, how did Data speak to them if he was no longer aware that he had to use a UT? I am a lifelong fan of all things Star Trek but I just can't look past that garbage.

With good science fiction shows, you have to be flexible enough to not spend much time wondering things like that.
